“There are hurdles, there are handicaps, hardships you have to face in life, but you hope for a great future.” - Anil Kapoor

She was a very jolly and happy-go person in life. She used to listen to music, dance, and write whatever was running in her mind. She supported her family in the worst parts of their life. She was ready to marry any person her family chose. Many people were interested in her during her college time, but family ideals were filled within her. Her smile was so beautiful, everyone used to fall of her smile. People appreciated her for good looks, walking style, her hair, and her dressing style. Anyways, her favourite person was she, her own self and she loved herself to the maximum.

She is Kashish Sharma. She became a teacher in management in a reputed institution. It was an offer her principal came up with, but it was for evening college. Everyone in her family stood up for her. Kashish enjoyed teaching, the wonderful experience of having even one student’s mind open and absorbed was an amazing experience. Those were two most wonderful years of her life, as she became a friend and mentor to her students.

She was adored by her students, who accepted everything she taught them and gave her the best results, not only in studies but in their general life. She became someone in life who she could respect and that was an experience that every person should have in life.

Hah!! Every good thing comes to an end too soon. Her family were seeing boys for her. This time the boy's family and the boy liked her, and their response was yes. She did not want to give up her teaching career and be at home. Ha! But she had no choice but to accept what was written by fate.

Just after one month of engagement, she gave up her teaching career. The boy of whom she was in awe, naive and fully trusting her life partner was known as Dhruv Solan. She was not happy with him, because on the outside he was a dream guy, but inside he was not what she expected at all.

Dhruv used to call her and talk about economics and banking but not love or happy matters in her life. He used to send her dead flowers. He was never with Kashish even though they spent time. For him, she was not as important as his family was far more important.

Dhruv would leave her halfway in the movie and go to pick up his sister from the station, as though his other brothers, Bhabhi’s or his sisters could not come to their home on their own.

If he used to meet her in the day, that night he would not call her. Dhruv did not even remember to wish her on her birthday. If she sent flowers to his niece, he would send flowers to her niece. It was a tit-for-tat relationship.

She took all his rudeness and all the bitter words his family said just to bring peace to her family. Her brother and sister told to break the wedding-on-the wedding day itself. But she married and went to his house, thinking everything will work out well.

The strangest thing was that she did not even have a room, they slept wherever they were told. Dhruv was never interested in her at all. For some reason they went to make their marriage certificate, and she came to know they lied to her about his age, date of birth and how old was he.

She was never allowed even once to all look at his papers, passport, how much was his salary and his clothes. Day by day she started feeling more and more depressed. Why were things hidden to her, as though she would publish it to the world?

She was never able to build any kind of connection with anyone in the family. People appreciated her for her looks, walking style and dress but this family put her down on these grounds. They were never happy with what her parents had given them.

He never ever made the marriage certificate, he told them they will go to their honeymoon according to their names. By God's grace she developed a new health condition called typhoid because the place he was taking her to where the girls are sold. And his mother, being money minded, told her so much about the money spent by her son on Kashish’s health. His father used to use all kinds of foul language on her.

Her family was equally worried as she would not tell them anything. That family was very strange, and she felt as though she had come into jail. It is not so surprising what happened to her, the eldest sister-in-law also came to her own house with kids and went back only when her husband separated from the family.

She started falling ill, she could not stay there anymore. And she called her sister and asked if she came back, will it be, ok? Or she goes somewhere and dies. He was behaving as though he has fallen ill. In the room he was roaming around and talking about past and olden days, he was not letting her out of the room. She was scared as he was willing to hit her, and he might have killed her.

Those people were impressed by her grandfather and her grandfather had called he is coming to pick her up. The day her grandfather came there was curfew till 6 pm and then when he came to take her on account of papers to be signed.

She cried the whole way home and she said she would not go back at all. It was just seven months the marriage survived. If her parents did not want her, she will commit suicide, but she would not go back.

It was stressful time for full family, in the society she had already conveyed her wishes and would not listen his words. In the society all sarees, gold, silver, electronic items, and other accessories they had to give her back. It was a painful process. Legally the court awarded them divorce just after six months of her coming back.

She never understood why he married her, if he had no interest in her. The marriage hardly lasted one year but it still has impact far and far deeper. She started her life again and joined a new institution, and she was very strict, never used to smile at students. She was marked by what that family done to her. She was no longer her own favourite person. She no longer loved herself, in fact she started hating herself to the extent that she neglected her body.

If this was not enough for God, just five years after her divorce, she suddenly encountered brain stroke. It felt after the disasters till date had not ended, she was facing stroke.

Brain stroke is worse condition any person can experience. She lost her speech and became paralyzed from right side. She lost all control over her body, became dependent on her family members and that is worse, worst experience in life.

She remembers her initial days of stroke, to gain her right side movement, she was given electric shocks, the pain was unbearable and she used to cry and cry like mad. After 2 months she gained her speech, after 3 months she started walking. She did exercises 3 times for 2 years.

She struggled and struggled and her anger came out on her family members. They were truly the only people standing by her side. Whether be it to go to doctor, or college or face her depression, only her family stood by her.

It is seven years now, but she is still not alright. Stroke took away her remaining happiness and she strongly believes he and his family must have done black magic for her to get stroke but God's grace she is still managing her life and she is living with the help of family's members her life.

She cannot do what normal people do but she have never let down anybody. She continued in the same institution for three plus years but she was put down badly. She prayed to God to take her away, but God gave her another avenue. On her entire family’s request and coaxing, she again changed the institution and was accepted there. Though she hated the work initially and faced immense problems she continued to survive in this institution.

She learnt to love her work and keep to herself except professionally. Last year she suffered a knee problem in stroke affected leg, which is still not solved. She has put on weight. This year she was warned by her doctor to lose weight otherwise her knee will be badly affected.

Therefore, she has learnt in the age of 40 years only, how to live life twice her age. Ironically there are many boys after her, even today because her beauty did not diminish, but these people are only bothered about her body but not about her mentally and emotionally.

She finally understood God wants her to be alone, live alone, and be free from everybody. One question runs through her mind every now and then, why God wants her to live, and what is her purpose in this life?

The moral of her life: A woman has to experience working life before marriage and not marry any person for any reason if her heart is unhappy with the person. Life becomes a living hell and death becomes her most desired dream. No person should commit suicide because life is not given to us on our own but given by our parents and God sitting above will give you justice and peace sooner or later.

“Peace and justice are two sides of the same coin.” - Dwight D. Elsenhower.
