Snowflakes on the window.
Glittering lights in the window pane
The chilly winter wind gently brushing off
The puffy snow from the balcony.
The ringing of the church bells,
The grandeur of endless joy inside
The warm lighted houses and apartment.
But who cares for the old granny?
Sitting all by hers by the window....

None to wish her a Merry Christmas
None to offer her a bright smile
None to cheer up her dull gloomy house
None to ask her for a warm oven baked cake or pie
None to pass her a glass of wine
None to ask her for a cup of coffee
But who cares for the forgotten granny?
Sitting all by her by the window.....

Long back her loved ones have left,
Long back happiness kissed her good bye.
Long back joys have abandoned her,
Long back laughter exited through her back door.
Long back even Santa abandoned her,
Long back the society deserted her.
To be perpetually left alone.
Locked up in her chilly, dusty and gloomy room
But who cares for the bewitched granny?
Sitting all by her by the window.....

While the whistling wind softly blows away the snow,
The chilly wind knocks the molten candle down,
Putting off the only light source inside the house.
The chorus at the church and ringing of the bells,
Could be heard at the corner of the neighbourhood
Christmas in the air!
But who cares for the abandoned granny?
Sitting all by her by the window....

With tears frozen at the edge of her tired eyes,
With hopelessness painted on her pale face,
With the howling winds blowing of her grey hairs;
Across her voiceless face inside the dark house.
With occasional hooting of the resident owls,
Time is being slowly stolen from her painful life.
But who cares for the helpless granny?
Sitting all by her by the dark window.....

With no hopes left on her tortured body and soul,
With no wishes to make in her prayers,
Her lips are sore, her tongue heavy
Waiting patiently by the window.....
With no hopes showing up on her dark face,
She is counting on her last days.
Long before she decided to be alone,
Her eyes captured her distant past.
But she never realized that
It would approach her so fast.
Yet she waits for her loved ones to return.
But who cares for the helpless old granny?
Sitting all by her by the window.......
