The sun set slowly, painting the sky
In hues of pink, purple, and gold,
As I stand alone, with a heavy sigh,
Missing the one I love, now gone and cold.

The waves gently crash on the shore,
As I watch the horizon with longing eyes,
Remembering the moment we shared before,
Now nothing but a distant, painful guise.

The breeze whispers sweet nothings in my ears,
