One night the whole world was very tense and was praying to God to save a life of a newborn baby whose age was just 1 hour. The humanity was still alive in humans which made them to shower some care through prayers and some people gave their utmost effort to save the child. The news about the end of the world was spreading like wildfire all over the world. True to the news tsunami and other natural disasters were happening in some parts of the world. Everywhere people were suffering and lots of people lost their loved ones. Among those people, there was a mother who was blessed with a child after 15 years of marriage life. She was fighting against the nature to save the life of her newborn infant. Let us all get into the story.
Ananya and Pradeep were a happily married couple. They were celebrating their 15th anniversary that year. Anaya and Pradeep were a cute couple and cherished every moment that they were together. They both had got all the things in life but the only unhappiness of their life was not having a child. But Pradeep did not let Anaya to get affected by the baby's issues but she went through a lot. She got hurt to hell. But he helped her to heal and took care of her like a baby that she felt pampered around him. He showered immense love and affection on her which kept her warm and pampered.
One fine night they were sitting under the black sky and watching the moon. At that time Ananya was lying on his shoulder, hand-in-hand locked so tight. He also rested his head on her head. Later she fell asleep on his shoulder. He looked at her and smiled. When she woke up, Pradeep was staring at her. She saw him staring and blushed. Seeing her blush made him also to blush. It was a winter night but they both felt warm. After a little conversation, they decided to go in as it was getting even colder. When Ananya stood up to get in, she felt little dizzy and vomited. Ananya became weak and lost her steady. She was about to fall, he lifted her and rushed to the hospital. He was standing tense in front of the ICU. He was very worried about her and he did not know that God had other plans for them. He was frightened and confused that something happened to her, when the doctor encountered a lot of questions. Pradeep was shocked and surprised when their family doctor said “Cool and it’s a happy news. Congrats Mr. Pradeep”. He was confused so that the doctor made clear that little Mr. or Mrs. Pradeep was on the way. When he heard it, his eyes fully filled in tears. He rushed to Ananya and just hugged her tightly. He gently kissed her on the forehead and said “Our little one is on the way”. She hugged him very tightly and shed tears. They both felt complete and happy. They could not find any words to express their happiness but their tears expressed it very well. He took her back home.
Days and months passed, it was almost 8 months and only a month more for the arrival of their little one. One day a voice said, “Both are in a good health and the delivery date is nearing. Don’t panic or get tensed. Everything will be alright”. It was the doctor’s voice. Ananya was both excited and panicked so that the doctor tried to console her. After the regular checkup, the cute couple returned back to home. After returning, Pradeep was making a cup of coffee for her. While drinking the coffee, Ananya shared her thoughts running through their little mind. He was holding her hands tightly and said “I am here with you. Everything will be fine. So don’t think too much. I will take care of everything. Don’t worry dear. Ok. We will watch a movie” He put his hands around her shoulder so that she rested on her chest comfortably. Pradeep played their favourite movie. Ananya fell asleep on his chest while watching the movie. He looked at her and smiled thinking how innocent she looked while she is asleep. He changed the channel and saw a news flash on it. A tsunami is expected in a month. It may be also be delayed or may arrive soon before the expected date. Those words were displayed in the tv. He was shocked because he was living in that area. He was confused and panicked. All of a sudden, Ananya woke up and saw the news. She also got tensed. Pradeep was very mature. He switched off the tv and said “we will solve it out together. Now you just sleep well for our little one “. He comforted her and made her sleep. He also slept. The next day he rushed to the doctor with his friends to find out a solution. As Ananya was 8 months pregnant, it is risky to migrate to some other place. Before they could find out a solution, the climate changed. It was raining day and night. There was a heavy blow of wind. So that all the transportation was blocked. The government had advised all the people to move to a top building. As only a week more for her delivery, the planned to admit her prior in the hospital. The couple and their loved ones were relaxed as there would not be any problem further. The real problem was their way which they did not expect. In the hospital where Ananya was admitted, was going through a challenge of insufficient oxygen cylinders. the about insufficient oxygen was flashed, the couple saw it and felt bad about the situation. So that he just switched off the tv and asked her to relax.
After a week, the tsunami hit the region and lot of people lost their lives in that disaster. Everything was damaged. The next day Ananya gave birth to a beautiful little girl. After the delivery, he rushed to Ananya and took care of her. He made sure she was comfortable and in good health. The doctor took the baby because she had some breathing issues. Due to some breathing issues, the baby needs an oxygen supply externally to breathe. But there were insufficient oxygen cylinders. The baby is in need of an oxygen cylinder, only a ¼ of oxygen in a cylinder was left over. They used it to keep the baby alive but it will be emptied in an hour. They were in need of one oxygen cylinder. The couple sought a lot of help and nothing worked. They felt helpless and a friend of Ananya came forward to help them. She posted their situation in social media and asked for any ideas as solution. The baby was just one hour old and it is fighting to survive. The news of one-hour aged child was flashed in all the tv all over the world. Each and every people were praying for the little infant to survive for a long time. Pradeep and Ananya lost all the hope they had. They were suffering mentally deep inside. Pradeep gave up and wiped out in his friend’s shoulder. Meanwhile, Ananya was very hopeless. She became very obsessed with the baby and sat near looking at her. She pleaded to everyone to help her because her daughter was their only hope to live further. No one was able to console her. Everyone understood her pain as a mother. She went through a lot because of not having a baby. It was hell for her.
On the other side, an old man watching the news felt heavy in his heart. He wanted to help the little infant. He said that he will give one of his oxygen cylinders to her. So that she would live long. But he had only two oxygen cylinders left over. So that his wife and others argued with him. But the old man convinced them all by saying “I am old enough to leave the world. But she is about to start her life. She may be the only hope for her parents. So please let me help out.” Those words made everyone silent. Everyone accepted the decision of the old man with a heavy heart. Luckily, he was living in a city near to the city where the hospital is located. On behalf of the old man, his son called Pradeep and explained all the things to them. The old man along with his family member left for to meet and give the oxygen cylinder in person to Pradeep. The old meet and gave the cylinder. He also looked the small and blessed her. Pradeep and Ananya thanked the old man. Pradeep took the hand of the old man in his and said “You gave us new life to live further”. As he said, he began to cry. The old man consoled him and said “Let it be a new life. Take good care of the princess.” Ananya thanked the old man by falling at his feet. She said “You gave us a new hope. You gave us a new meaning to our lives. Thank you so much. It is not just a help. It’s our life. Thanks”. After that the old man blessed them both and said “Your actual life begins now”. He went back home. The very next day, the old man left the world without enough oxygen supply. The news was flashed in every news channel. Pradeep and Ananya came know about the old man from his son that the old man was suffering from COP disease which requires oxygen cylinders for him to breathe. So that he had oxygen cylinders with him. He had only two cylinders. One was in use and other one was given to you. He decided it himself. Pradeep and Ananya felt very guilty. Later on, the old man’s son gave them a piece of letter to them and left.
“Do you remember, Pradeep? Long back, you saved me by giving blood. Now I have saved your daughter by giving oxygen. Don’t ever feel guilty because of me. I have lived enough and it’s time for me to leave. I leaving without any regrets as I have repaid you and I going back peacefully. Take good care of the little one. Remember me. Goodbye Pradeep.”
After the letter, he remembered who the old man was. The old man was the one whom Pradeep helped during his college days by giving his blood. The old man once met with an accident. On that time, Pradeep was the one who took that man to the hospital and gave his blood to save him. Pradeep's kindness has saved his daughter today. The baby was saved and they both had got a new meaning to their life. Ananya and Pradeep along with the baby went back to home. They named her as “Sri Kapoor” in the remember of the old man “Sri Raman Kapoor”. The old man was also honoured by the government by giving him the title as “The man of humanity”. The old man has won everyone’s hearts by his action. Later on, they lived a happy life. Every year the couple along with the baby visited to the old man’s tomb and spent their whole day there. Kindness makes life better.
