It was a warm spring morning,
When the farmer’s kid came in running,
“Father, what’s this in the newspaper all about,
An attack by terrorists, that yesterday was carried out?”

His head hung down, and the farmer replied,
“This is a common thing, don’t be mystified!”
“Papa, what’s this terrorism?”, came in the question,
“A hindrance in the way of building a peaceful nation.”

“Terrorism has one meaning, one aim,
Killing people and spreading fear in religion’s name!
By these attacks, our country is rocked,
In this maze of terrorism, India is dreadfully locked!

Killing people on their way,
Is how these terrorists spend their day.”
“How evil that is!” exclaimed the boy,
“This is common, just a few million lives do they destroy!”

In a brave tone, the boy said,
“I will not rest till this string of terrorism is shred!”
“Of course, you will,” the farmer replied,
“Your generation will bring with it, the rays of a new dawn alongside!”
