It is a fine evening during the summer months with all children playing joyfully on the ground located in our city. As the sun started to set, many of the residents of the city near the ground have come for walking with their nearby friends. The ground is full of children playing, and many men and women are doing the walk and talking with their friends, besides there is a separate block for various sports activities like archery, cricket, and badminton filled with players just doing their daily practice.
By the side of those blocks, a boy is sitting on a bench, staring at all people on the ground and looking into his phone, and replying to messages he got. After some time he sat just staring blankly at the ground and thinking.

As a daily routine, I am doing my exercise and after a while, I wished to take some rest before leaving.I walked towards that bench, but, As I went close to him he looked familiar to me and on further close, I noticed the man sitting was my neighbor's son, who completed 12th standard and aspiring for under 19 state badminton selections.I sat beside him, but he kept looking blankly toward the ground and didn't stare at me. I thought something was wrong with him, meanwhile, tears got rolled down from his eyes and he was still looking blankly and eyes filled with tears.
I just touched him with my hand, but he didn't respond. Then I dragged his shoulder and when he saw me, he quickly wiped his eyes and responded with a smile, saying that he didn't notice me and asked me whether I completed my exercise or not and remained silent again.
Taking some time, I asked him, YOU APPEARED TO BE SAD FOR A WHILE. WHAT HAPPENED MY BOY?
Then he said, that he was worried about his poor performance in his practice and was afraid of being not selected for his game and the promise he made to his father about his definite selection with his practice, and again, his eyes filled with tears.
By holding his hands, I tried to calm down him.
Previously, he practiced regularly and was quite a good player, but this time he may be dragged down by his fear, and his whole focus on the game was lost, which became a reason for his poor performance. with the intention to help him come out of his situation, I asked him to come with me for a walk. He slowly got up and walked by my side and we moved towards the sports block where archery was being practiced.
As we approached the archery block, we stopped and I asked him to observe how they practiced. After some time, I asked him, DID YOU NOTICE THE WAY THEY ARE STRETCHING THEIR BOWS AND HITTING THE TARGET? Then he said, Yes, uncle. They took a bow and arrow and aimed towards the target and then pulled the arrow back and then released.
Yes, but, it's not the way that works all the time my boy. some times they have to shift the focus from the target to a side and stretch their bows to hit that target. Do you know it?
Boy replied How is that even possible by deviating from the target.
It's possible, you see when there's wind around them while they are stretching a bow they will slightly shift their focus from target. They will assess wind direction and wind speed, and depending on some factors they face at that moment, they will work on everything that comes their way, in order to hit that target.

As far as know, you have done well so far. But when someone is near their target, they may have anxiety or fear, or depression. At that moment you should shift your focus from the target to the factors that are present around you, work on them, make your mind and body stable towards those factors, and just do what you have to do. I am pretty sure you will be able to get selected. So, don't worry about the target, move according to the factors that come in front of you to go forward in your game, that's it, you will make up to that target.
