Oh dear patter of tiny feet my dear father,
We’re do I begin to ink the indelible moments of halcyon air;
The day I crawled the crib to being teenybopper now,
it’s all the unearthed memories unveiling the swaddle of paternal fabric;
I was soothed with the mollycoddle lullabies of knowledge and history;
I learnt the quality of enduring impertinence;
To sway amidst the oceans of imperfections from thy strenuous efforts;
Relentless heat of hands that seem dreary,
You remained as the kernels of care to the walls of abode
The day I left my diadem of hope in dawn and felt despair
Your serine palms of tranquil touch offered solicitude and care;
You are the reason for what am today;
from the being a mere mendicant flea to flying high;
You bequeathed the wings to wander and expel my inner spirit,
Having a penurious encephalon of maths
To scuffling day and night to make early naps and wake ups;
Before the sun peeps our minuscule fights for discipline are memorable
You are a man of sportsmanship with dextrous fingers of life skills
Reconciling the art of relations and psychology in me
Restoring faith in humanity that’s woebegone !
Your extended care and love is indispensable
On a thunder stricken day you clasp my hands;
Carried me beside the inundated arenas of cyclones
In the month of November the chillness that day
Fray the frigidity of Minnesota’s winter
I clenched to the wool gathered sew of sweater
We were returning from a grocery store
With face peeked at the staples and snacks
As rushing rats for rummage.
I caught a handful of fudge brownies and coco chips
Whoa daddy !! I screamed in joy giving you a bear hug. We looked out to the pleasant
gloomy weather with star gazing eyes.
