How funny is it that in just one day,
We're judged and labelled in every way,
Hero or villain, good or bad,
Pure or disgusted, happy or sad.
One day is all it takes to decide,
Whether we'll soar or fall from pride,
Our achievements mean nothing or all,
In just one day, we rise, or we fall.
It's a lie they told us, we can be who we want,
But in reality, we're what we're taught,
Born to compete, that's what they say,
But who to compete with, they never say.
We'll never truly be who we are,
For in just one day, we'll bear a scar,
A label that sticks, a name to call,
In just one day, we'll lose it all.
So why do we try to prove our point,
When it's just a game, we're just a joint,
A part of a system, a cog in the wheel,
Our uniqueness, they'll never reveal.
For they fear us, they're not ready,
To see our true selves, so steady,
They'll never let us break free,
In just one day, they'll label you and me.
But let's not forget, our uniqueness lies,
Deep inside, it never dies,
It's what makes us, Us at the core,
And in just one day, we'll rise once more.
So let them fear us, in their own way,
For in just one day, we'll have our say,
We'll break free, from their narrow minds,
And show the world, our true designs.
How funny is it, in just one day,
We'll show them all, in every way,
That we are more, than just a label,
And in just one day, we'll prove we're able.
