Remember in childhood how the bicycle used to be our best friend? Many of us used to study and scored good marks just to get a gift from our parents that is – ‘The Bicycle’. Cycling with our friends was our favorite activity for us. But as we have grown up we have forgotten our childhood Best Friend i.e. Our Bicycle. We now have the fascination for bikes and cars which is good and a necessity at this time. But we must not forget our dear friend - the bicycle as it contributes a lot of benefits to our life. It helps us in so many ways. It has many benefits for our health, wallet and contribute something good to the world.

Cycling should be encouraged in our life. It has a positive impact on our overall health of body and mind. It should be encouraged from childhood itself for the children’s active growth and learning cycling from childhood makes it easier for the children to learn the other motor vehicle efficiently when they grow up.

Here are some of the advantages of including Cycling in your life which are as follows:

  1. Nature Adventurous Ride: If you like to go on nature adventure why not go by riding your bicycle and get mesmerized with beauty of nature and feel the thrill? Experience nature closely and get an adventurous sporting spirit. Which will make you fall in love with Nature even more.
  2. Improve mental and emotional well-being: If you are feeling low or down or sad, just take your bicycle and go on the ride. Take a ride along your area or locality or traveling to a place with your bicycle and your friends' gang or any of your loved ones or a solo trip to a place that is close to nature will elevate your mood and you will be filled with happiness by experiencing the peace of nature and finally, you feel relaxed and peaceful mentally and emotionally.

So, your bicycle is quite pocket friendly.
  5. Environment Friendly: Riding a Bicycle for visiting to place at shorter distances you are not only contributing something good to your health but also to the environment. As there is burning of fuel takes places only your carbs get burned along with this you also prevent carbon emission as it occurs because of other vehicles. So there are no emissions of harmful gases in the environment and exploitation of fossil fuel will be reduced, hence you become an environment-friendly person.
  6. Reduce traffic congestion: If more and more people ride a bicycle for shorter distances so there will be a decrease in traffic to a very large extent. Many people are driving their car even for a shorter distance which can lead to the problem of traffic congestion. So cycling more and more should be encouraged in order to reduce traffic congestion.

Encourage cycling: For encouraging cycling first of all there should be an awareness to be created for riding a bicycle and secondly, we can also make a separate pathway or road for cycling only. This can encourage more and more people to do cycling as much as possible and they will enjoy the cycling even more. This will reduce traffic congestion, environment, safety, and overall health and well-being. There are countries that have separate roads for bicycle riding only such as the European like Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, etc. In our country India also, cycling should be encouraged as it has immense benefits in our life.
