Life is a twist and an adventure at the same time. People grow up by chance or by faith when they appear on this earth. Children are the most naïve human beings in the world as they do not know the concept of real life. Real life is all about earning your bread and butter, yet very few of us will understand the pain of earning a sense of livelihood. It would be wrong to say that the victims of war are suffering while the rest of the countries where there is no war, continue to live in peace. There may not be genocides or terrorism but the run for earning the livelihood is existent in the life of all.
Once we are adults, we need to earn for ourselves, our families, and our children. If we do not have money, and no mode of earning, we will possibly starve to death. The readers may wonder about the context of money in life. There is a saying that money cannot buy happiness, but all understand that money can buy clothes and food.
The pursuit of life is beyond happiness. Sometimes, more than being happy, it is also about managing food on the plate at least three times a day. The discussion of this article is about a thought which is beyond education and a war between allies. Human beings in this world are in constant war with money. Money can destroy an individual, but it can also create a life. It can create a sense of livelihood and even provide shelter, food, and clothes to an entire family.
The effects of a war may not only be on the standpoint of life alone but the loss of property, money, and even proper shelter in the homes that have been destroyed. This has also led wealthy families homeless as their gadgets, houses and their settlements are being destroyed. Outside of a warfare region, a populated country like India also struggles with permanent jobs leaving thousands jobless and on the streets.
India does not have a war uprising but could be an epicenter of poverty. If every individual irrespective of age within the Indian population had enough money for themselves and their families, there would be no chance of the existence of the concept of ‘poverty’. Hence, in the end, as human beings, we are constantly thriving to have a single possession in life and that is money.
Taking an example of a wealthy person who lives with several high-technology cars and a big mansion. He would also need ‘cash’ for himself to buy himself food and clothes. Cars and bungalows, alone, cannot satisfy the person, and may also end up selling all only to have money that the power to buy food. A common trend among social media influencers is the need for a side income or main income that could fetch them enough money to live in this world till old age probably.
One may wonder why a non-dance would still dance off and post a video of the same on social media platforms hoping to get viral. This is because there is money available through such modes when there are millions of views and followers following content that do not even make sense. In the end, people have been observed to go to any extent to possess money.
The idea of this article also lays focus on the reasons we live for. We live for family, to provide for a family, and to die happily. All these in true essence require money and hence, we earn and only earn till our bodies are incapable of doing so. Do we all realize that we live to earn money all our life?
There is a silence protocol that every human being follows which includes parents earning for the child to provide all the basic and additional needs who in turn grows up to do the same for their children. This protocol that nobody talks about is the depiction of the real pursuit of life. We grow up into adulthood to earn money and die after we are done earning money. This excludes the people who have died during their time much earlier than becoming incapable of doing so. The ultimate achievement in everybody’s life, whether one realizes it or not, is to earn a living which means earning money.
The concept of the gold digger exclusively tagged to a woman is explicit, but little do we realize that in the end, everyone is running after money including men. We all work hard either on ourselves or at work to acquire the materialistic as well as necessities of life. Probably, it is a clear understanding for women that without money, there isn’t any life possible that can lead to fulfillment. There is a struggle in terms of medical treatment, education, travel, or even earning food.
Hence, it can be concluded the real pursuit of life is earning a livelihood through the acquiring of money in a world that is hitting recession. We spend our life working for money so that we can live a healthy and peaceful life. However, as we embark on the journey of earning our livelihood and earning all our lives, there are several sacrifices on the way. The major sacrifice is the time for us and our family. Sometimes, it is hard to choose between giving time to the family and providing all the basic goods for the family. Greatness lies in those who can balance both as many are on the compromising or sacrificing front. A child may complain about their parents not being able to attend his or her school function. This could be a long story to understand as the child grows up only to realize that his education is a gift from their parent's sacrifice of time only to earn for their child that remains a protocol for every adult on this earth.
