Problem:

The rising problem of plastic management is basically the over-utilization and production of plastics. Plastics made of petroleum is material which can be decomposed easily. Unlike the biodegradable items, plastics take years and years to just deform a bit and cannot be converted into their natural form. And this is contaminating the earth’s environment. Plastic once dissolved in soil, blocks the growth of the plants, is harmful if inhaled, and causes toxic gases to be produced when burnt. To prevent such devastations, a project has been designed that can convert “plastic into petrol”.

Mechanism:

A device which converts Plastic into Petrol is practically possible. For its mechanism to work, we’ve to first take out a pressure cooker and replace it's opening with a hard rubber, then connect it with a separate container. After that, we need to connect a tube with one end to the container and the other end to the bottom of the bottle and uncover the container’s lid. For some time i.e., for approximately 45 mins – 1 hour, we must heat the cooker, the temperature rises to above 300 degrees Celsius, and plastic gets converted into fuel.

And another use is to make spacecraft, rockets, satellites, and rovers with plastic. Since plastic undergoes all kinds of adverse conditions in nature and still survives its existence it can tolerate space atmosphere also.
