Some stories are meant to end before they start
Some stories so beautiful, like a piece of art
Two souls so close yet so far apart
Wish we were stronger with a pinch of smart
Didn't say a word, but hoped everything was heard
Even with a look we felt flattered
Anyways glanced a zillion times
With glances almost as pure as hymns
Faced some patches not so smooth
Realized time had its way for us to feel the ruth
Recovery was always an easy task
As forgiveness is only what we could ever ask
Tried to remember where it all started
But could only hark back to where our ways parted
Our time together will forever abide
Even give us strength to endure when we divide
Although detachment won't be an easy task
We'll pretend to don our face with a happy mask
Dissociated, our names rank high in the friendship fraternity
Because incomplete stories remain immortal for eternity...
