Photo by MART PRODUCTION from pexels.com We speak with our minds and forget the heart
The wounds and pains engraved in a person’s heart.
Your tongue is a weapon
That can cut deeper,
Sharp as a knife
That can make a soul shiver.
The knife is sharp and when it cuts, it leaves a scar
A scar that takes time to heal,
So let thy heart speak instead of the mind,
For the mind plays games where the heart longs to find
A kind of love, that could heal a scar
Leaving a glimmer of hope in the person’s heart.
So, let your heart speak instead of your mind
Cause that’s where the true words lie.
The mouth does the talking
Sometimes leaving a person gawking,
Lest we cause harm, we must think before we speak
Not to hurt someone with the sharp knife we keep.
The less we speak, the more we say
Cause some words are better left unsaid.
Remember! Our tongue is a weapon that cuts like a knife
Leaving the soul of a person wandering in life.
So let thy heart speak, not the blade of strife
For the tongue is sharp and it cuts the soul if it’s not kept tongue-tied.
