The father of our nation - Mahatma Gandhiji says,

"Earth provides everything enough to satisfy human needs but not every man's greed."

The earth is what we all have in common. The environment is where we all meet. The greatest threat to a planet today is the belief that someone will save it. Environmental justice is public health. We all deserve the right to clean air, clean water, and healthy communities. When the environment suffers people suffer. Melting of ice, rising of sea levels, and changing weather patterns affect daily life for millions and perhaps billions of people. It is widely accepted in International Law the importance of the environment is to fullfill the human rights. Human health depends upon biodiversity.

We have the right to defend environment. Silence is not an option. Environmental justice is a crucial aspect to fight against global ecological issues. Knowing what it is and how it can help is equally important. Unfortunately, environmental justice is easier discussed than done. For example, how often do we get to know about the injustices happening around us? It is doubtless that some discussions are opaque and difficult to clarify if not noticed. Secondly, if an injustice is detected what exactly should be done. We are living on this planet as if we have another one to go. What is the use of having a fine house if you haven't got a planet to put it on? There is no better example of the overreach of the government than in environmental law.

As global citizens, we need to respect and uphold environmental laws. By doing this we can contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable world for ourselves and the future generation. Environmental justice is earth justice. Because the earth needs a good lawyer. It's not our job to toughen up the lives of our children to face a cruel and heartless world. When we think about how the environmental justice movement grew - it was all through courage, persistence, and sacrifice.

We have come too far, marched too long, prayed too hard, wept too bitterly, bled too profusely, and died too young to let anybody turn back the clock on the journey to justice. A vibrant, fair, and regenerative future is possible not only will thousands of people do environmental justice activism perfectly but when millions of people do the best they can. From small daily actions to impactful policies we believe in the part of collective action! This is an equity issue and the one that requires urgency.

"The earth is dying! The cause? We humans"

We are humans - the most destructive animal on earth. The earth doesn't need us but we need the Earth. So, we have to get busy.
