Nowadays, a highly complicated topic is a woman's life and her suffering. A woman has several roles in the society. Women are daughters, wives, sisters, mothers, and grandmothers, so many roles they have in their life. Women play a variety of roles in our society from their birth till the end of life. Earlier, the women had to cook food, take care of all family members clean the house, etc.. but now it has changed and they are doing jobs and taking part in other women's activities like kudumbasree, etc. Women are thinking, behaving,and doing in some other manner than men. Traditional Indian women have started proving themselves more skilled and competent in many professions than men. They break the barriers and come forward.

The Indian Government played a great role in women empowerment implementing various laws and regulations. It trends such as dowry deaths, female foeticide, early child marriage, domestic abuse, child labour, sexual harassment, etc. Some women in the society follow the old traditions of the family and they stay as housewives and mothers. It has been the usual practice for a woman by birth to handle home and stay unemployed at home.

Women are the backbone of families and communities. The participation of women in income generation lends to satisfy their home needs to a great extent. For a better home environment and well-being, women are found at work. Work-life balance of working. Women have become an important concern and subject since women equally share earnings for the betterment of the family living standard. A working mother striving for financial independence also has the role of caring for and growing child to accomplish motherhood. GDI (Gender-related Development Index) is a way in which the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) measures the inequality between the genders within a country.

Research shows that increasing access to the internet can also result in an increased exploitation of women. Utilization of hashtags on social media, and online activism through Facebook and Twitter they can empower themselves by organizing campaigns and voicing their opinions for equal rights. Blogging emerged as one tool for educational female empowerment.
