A gentle reminder of what I think schools have got to offer.

We consider education to be sacred. Education plays a vital role in everyone’s life today. It paves the way for societal interaction, exploring the bigger world and connecting with diverse communities. Education gives the power to break barriers. It contributes to the overall development of a nation.

Schools are the fundamental exponents of education. There is that intricate education structure prevailing in the country whose solutions have also both pros and cons. “Mark-based system, unstandardized format, exam-oriented teaching, and homework burdens” are all the topics of debate time and time again.

Other than that what is all a part of schools today?

  •  Unauthorized and harmful activities.
  •  Education is stressful.
  •  Mocking one on their appearance.
  •  Senior junior stunts.
  •  The fancy of digital entertainment.
  •    Fancy of having a girlfriend or boyfriend.

What do we need?

A safe, friendly, healthy, clean, and enriching environment for the children to learn and grow.

There is this question always. Do the subjects we study, connect to the real world?

Any language is not just a language, but an expression of self. Every subject is about fascinatingly understanding; the evolution and working of matters, functions, and systems in and around us. Teachers should teach with passion so that the children are primed to know, “Education is a road to understanding how the world and the universe are organized and every subject connects us to life and they are not just for memorizing and scoring marks.”

What is needed to achieve valuable education?

  •  Effective teaching methods.
  •  Real-time experimenting.
  •  Activity and task-oriented sessions.
  •  Practical and creative modes of learning.
  •  Skillful and passionate teachers who are continuous learners as well and who can instill a zeal for education in students.
  •  Conscientious and gentle approach.

Fundamentals do not only mean acquiring subject knowledge. What else does that include?

  •  Building strong morals, morale, and being human values that make children’s lives better.
  •  Cultivating interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  •  Developing concern for nature.
  •  Encouraging creative freedom.
  •  Helping them value life from the right perspective.
  •  Develop confidence by reading great and inspiring stories to them.
  •  To acknowledge their unique talents and address them to themselves such that they would be able to face the world with self-esteem.
  •  Everything learned in the school should continue to influence them throughout their lives.
  •  A school is a place, where the children should be instilled to feel happy, active, efficient, motivated, accepted, and equally treated.
  •  In the schools there should be a variety of opportunities for them to explore themselves and help display and practice everyone’s unique qualities.
  •  Strength and discipline come from the memories and inspiration children take from the homogeneity under one roof in school and the fundamentals that are imparted in their lives.

Supporting the practice of art forms like sketching, dancing, music, writing, and other creative art forms along with sports in schools, put together, makes education contented.

When more emphasis is put on the quality of education in schools, genuine evolvement is achieved. Huge efforts with commitment and concern along with sincere contribution are needed in order to make the world a better place to live in.
