When sadness strikes—
I curled up in my blanket
To hide. What makes it worse—
I am clouded from the curse.
In seek of reasons,
I delve into the deepest abyss:
Lingering haunting memories rob me of all bliss:
Childhood trauma, molestation, and bullies—
Are the seeds of this agony.
My different shade demanded a pay
Love, hope and trust eluded away.
I still mask a smile— a fragile lie.
With weary tainted claws, I cling to thee,
Dear Life.
