What’s the point of all this glory?
Why can I have God, but not you?
I was stupid to call it love;
Sniveling, shivering, being hunted down- by you.
Not by you per see,
But by this “mighty love”
I turned my heart into a shrine
& prayed like Christians do in Church.
Now on the brim of losing you,
Since I lost my self, long ago.
You’re my heaven; I’m just an earth;
Can you hear my echo?
I know, I know- I’ve known it all,
My love, to you, is a stupid call;
& I tried it, I promise-
I tried to put it to an end.
I swear, this is the last time:
Can you please lend me your hand?
This Earth is burning,
My Sun have mercy;
Sniveling, shivering, being hunted down;
Don’t stress yourself- kill me already.
Thought I forgot our blue,
But my heart is still in red.
Your voice comes chasing me,
I’m hanging by a thread.
Bite it hard-
So I can hug the ground.
Bite me down; shred my being;
At least leave a scar.
There is a ghost that follows me;
Like a flock of dainty ducks.
A ghost that haunts me- day & night;
The ghost of our dead love.
I said, “I love you”
& now I’ll haunt you, love.
I’m giving you back what I got:
My filthy, haunting love.
