It was as if yesterday, I learnt how to speak
Now my mouth never shuts, I am a freak
I wish I could become that small again and not look so dumb
But against the power of time I feel so numb.

It was as if yesterday, I played with my brother
Now he is a cool college guy, and standing next to him, I shudder
I wish I could have back those days and stop feeling so lonely
I wish I had the power of time inside me.

It was as if yesterday, 2020 came
It took away with it so many lives, was it Avengers Endgame
I wish I could have spent more time with them
It is to time to whom I blame.

It was as if yesterday, I learnt a,b,c
Now I have so many subjects, when will I be free?
I wish I could stop this moan
If only I had the precious time stone.

It was as if yesterday, I started my school days
Now for the last time at the school building I gaze
Soon I will be filled with thank yous and good byes
I just cannot figure out how time flies.

It was as if yesterday, I wanted to grow
Now I want to become small again but possibilities are low
I just want to question if it is a crime
To get born with life with the power of time.
