"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves."
The above statement is written by William Shakespeare in his one of the most famous plays, 'Julius Caesar'. The meaning behind the quote is that we are responsible for our own actions. It's not the fate or the fault in stars that dooms men but instead their own failings. Same goes with the fire!
"Fire can warm us and can also consume us.."
Many philosophers believed that the 'fire' is responsible for the making of this whole world. Heraclitus, a pre Socratic philosopher, believed that this world is made up of fire. So here, if fire, as Heraclitus says, can create this whole world, then it can also destroy the whole world. If anything be the reason for the creation of something, then it can also be the reason for the destruction of it!
"Tis not the fault of the fire"
So, it is not the fault of the stars or the fire. But, the fault is in ourselves! It is us who are going to decide how and in what ways we use the 'fire'. If a man wills, he can let the fire burn inside himself. If a man does not will, he can let the fire not to find a root to burn himself. It is in the hands and deeds of the humans!
For example, love! Love, as we all know, has a dual nature. Love has its own dichotomy. Love can create the world of two beloveds and yet it has the power to destroy the world of those beloveds. But it is in the hands of those beloveds and their understanding about love. In love, one can either win the world or destroy himself! If in the life of some person, love be the reason for destroying himself, it is him who is responsible and not the fault of the love!
It depends on you! On how you are going to touch the fire! For what purpose you are going to let the fire burn within yourself?
But...
What if the fire itself touches you? For we all know fire is beyond the control of humans! It is not the humans who gave the existence to the fire.
If uncontrollable fire can not be the fault for the deeds of itself, then is it really the fault of the humans for the deeds of uncontrollable fire?
