Hyderabad IT company CEO Ravichandra Reddy, Hyderabad-based Gigleaz Pvt Ltd, abducted additional passports, and 84 laptops stolen. Eight employees were involved in the crime.

Meanwhile, a few former employees of Gigleaz approached one of the police stations in Hyderabad on Saturday accusing Ravichandra of cheating them by failing to pay salaries. Each of these employees was recruited through different consultancies, to whom the job aspirants had paid money ranging between 2 lakh and 3 lakh. They further alleged that they were unjustly terminated without receiving their salary arrears
On July 10, the victim Ravichandra Reddy’s mother approached police claiming that a group of persons had come to their residence in Huda colony, Nandagiri hills late in the night. The accused assaulted Ravichandra Reddy and his friend Mohan, also took mobile phones, and 84 laptops from the victim’s residence, she claimed.
Four days after the abduction, employees and consultants, Jagadeesh, Azad and K Mahesh were caught at Banjara Hills and based on the information given by them, police arrested the rest. A total of 8 were arrested by the Jubilee Hills police who were involved in the crime. Among those arrested were a business consultant, two software professionals, and five other employees. The police seized 84 laptops, 18 mobile phones, and a car from the suspects.
According to the police, the eight arrested individuals were involved in a range of criminal activities, including intentional house trespass, wrongful restraint, abduction, confinement for extortion, intimidation, and theft. The stolen items recovered included 84 laptops, four cars, five phones, and three passports belonging to the victim and his family. Additionally, two cars and one motorbike belonging to the accused were also seized.

The IT firm's CEO stated that he founded the company in Gachibowli and employed 1,200 people through consultancies for a fee.
However, financial difficulties resulted in delayed salary payments, escalating tensions with the consultancies.
The investigation uncovered the involvement of the prime accused in his role in job placements through various consultancies, shedding light on financial transactions and disputes that culminated in the violent events (about the incident), police said.
The case has been registered under sections 406, 420, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Further investigation is going on.
