In Kanya Puja, the daughter is worshiped as Mata Ambe Jagadambe Saraswati, then at the time of marriage, the daughter is worshiped as Maa Lakshmi, who is also a daughter. The daughter takes the form of a goddess in her father's house and after marriage becomes the form of Lakshmi in her in-laws' house. A daughter is so powerful that every time in her life she is born in a new form and relationship along with her age.

Slogans like “Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao” are seen everywhere written in bold letters on big banners. This act started as a mission but very few people have been able to understand this mission and implement it in their lives, for the rest it has remained limited to just publicity. People used to kill baby girls before or after they were born simply because they were girls and they did not realize how special and important they could be. Now, we have a campaign called Beti Bachao Beti Padhao to save and educate girls. This campaign is trying to ensure that women in India have equal rights as men, such as the right to education and being treated fairly. The government started this campaign in 2015 and now it is happening all over India. The plan is to encourage people to support girls and help them succeed. So far, it is working well and more and more people are believing in the importance of educating and supporting girls. Women are considered very important and powerful in our country, but even today they are mistreated in some places. In the past, women were expected to do what their fathers or husbands told them to do and stay at home to take care of the children. Even today this happens in some places. Because of these traditions, women are not always able to go to school or become a part of society. This is because some people interpret their religion.

A daughter is the form of a girl, a girl is the form of a goddess and love resides in a goddess. This saying has been going on for centuries, but how many people have proved this saying till date. The country is getting an idea of ​​this every day. And it can be imposed by the news of increasing atrocities on women in the society. The accumulation of atrocities on women has increased so much that evaluating it has become a serious matter.

This is really serious and we need to make sure that girls are treated well. In some parts of the country, people do not want to have girls because they feel that daughters are just a burden. If they found out the baby was a girl, they would also choose to terminate the pregnancy. This has been happening for a long time, even before technology made it easy to find out the sex of a child before he or she is born. The system of determining the sex of a child was created so that both the mother and child remain healthy and not so that the process of discrimination is implemented between a son and a daughter. By misusing this technology, some people have been committing a disgusting act called female foeticide. This means that they decide not to have a baby girl before she is born. They do this because of certain rules and ideas of their culture and also because of how much money they have. This has been really unfair and against the law.

In many places people prefer boys rather than girls because they think that boys will give them more money whereas girls will only spend it. This is not fair, and many families do not want to have girls because of the dowry system and the low status of women in their society. Some parents with greed for sons and negative thoughts also think that having a son will give them more respect in their community.

Many alternatives to female feticide are increasing which are as follows;

• Lack of education and values:

Lack of education is not only from the high school and higher education education system but also from the rules and values ​​taught by our dear people. Some people in our country do not know that giving dowry is wrong because they have not learned about it. They feel like it's something they have to do because of their culture. But because they haven't learned much, they don't know that some bad people can take advantage of them.

• Discrimination of color and height:

Color, appearance and height are gifts of God. It is not an object that can be changed into any shape or painted in any color of your choice, yet in today's society, some families want a girl who is beautiful, talented and good at many things. If there is something about a girl that does not match the family's wishes, such as dark skin or any other problem, it may be difficult for her to get married early. When a girl from a wealthy family wants to get married, her parents give special gifts of money or things to the boy's family. This is called dowry. But this is not good because it makes people think that girls are worth less than boys. And now, more and more people are doing it.

• Lack of livelihood:

There are many youth in our country who do not have jobs. Some of these people demand huge amount of money from the girls and their families when they get married. They say that they need this money to start a business or live a good life after marriage. These guys don't work or start business and they want to depend on girls for money all their life. In this only the youth or the boys are not responsible, the relationship of their daughter should be decided only where hard work is given priority to earn two meals a day and such youth who think of living their life dependent on the girl's money should not give up on dowry. Instead of giving gifts or money in name, one should teach the lesson of doing right work and earning money through hard work.

• Sending daughters-in-law to their maternal home:

After marriage, in some families, daughters-in-law are repeatedly sent to their maternal home so that they can bring something as a gift from their maternal home. If they do not bring anything, they are treated badly. A daughter troubled by evil atrocities is afraid of giving birth to a daughter on her own.

• Propaganda of show-off:

Today's era has become an exhibition system due to which every person in the society does every work to show it off to others, whether it is a profit or a loss for that person, this matter is considered only after the occurrence of some major event. Makes sense. Nowadays, due to increasing show-offs, people are calling the increasing expenses in weddings as fashion and trend. Earlier, there was a time when a daughter used to leave her own house at the time of marriage and used to take seven rounds with her partner in the garden of the house. At that time, the importance of marriage was different, but in today's exhibition era, marriage halls, palaces and banquet halls have been built. Banquet halls are places where people hold parties and celebrations for various events like weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries. These are very popular among the day-to-day people as they can be used for many different types of functions. Now most of the people are organizing wedding ceremonies only by booking banquet halls. In view of the increasing popularity, the price of booking a marriage hall has increased from thousands to lakhs and crores. Due to which, in the marriage of a girl, the boys now think of booking a more expensive marriage hall than jewelery or Shagun envelopes. Parents get into debt by booking expensive marriage halls for their daughter's marriage. As expensive as the marriage hall is, so expensive are the food, decoration, clothes and transactions. A father's life-long capital remains like a drop of water under the guise of show-off. People from rich families can easily book expensive marriage halls, but there are many people for whom it is not appropriate to even take the name of a marriage hall because they know very well how full of money their pockets are. Marriage has become a mere business in the present times, this ritual is being weighed more with the envelope of omen than with blessings.

Nowadays, whether educated or uneducated people in the society are torturing daughters due to lack of money, at many places daughters are crucified under the guise of showing off. People say that they do not take dowry, yet they try to take it from the girl's family by giving it a different name, whether it is in the name of an omen or in the name of a gift. Everyone wants to take dowry because everyone loves the thing given for free and most of the things are received in the form of weight only at the time of marriage. Dowry refers to the giving of expensive gifts, money, jewelry, and cars by the bride's father to the groom during the marriage.

Dowry is just a practice created by the people of the society which has been going on for a long time. Some people also talk about dowry before marriage. If a dowry is not given, the in-laws may ill-treat the girl and even kill her. Educated families also do this. Some people are torturing and killing women because of this thing called dowry. This is not right and people who do this should be really punished severely for their bad actions. This is in the news a lot and we need to stop it from happening. The dowry system is so bad that some parents do not want to have a daughter because they are worried about giving dowry. This leads to female foeticide where the girl child is killed even before birth. The government has made rules against the dowry system, but it is still happening in many places. Taking and giving dowry both are wrong. This practice is an insult to women and is stopping the true progress of the country.

To build a beautiful society, it is important for women to be educated;

For the prevention and treatment of increasing atrocities, it is very important for the men as well as the women in every country, state, city, village and family to be educated, because the place of women is that center point in home, family, and society. But it happens where every member has an expectation from him. Only an educated woman can give birth to an educated generation and help in the progress of the society.

3. Educated women have a different respect in the society.  Women are not only limited to daughters, daughters-in-law, mothers, and grandmothers but also as teachers, doctors, engineers, social workers, etc. they are idols for everyone.
4. An educated woman can fight for her rights and find solutions to any problem.
5. An educated woman is considered a symbol of good health and cleanliness due to which she remains stress-free. Where does an empty mind go? An empty mind is the house of the devil and negative powers reside in the mind, but an educated woman is involved in some art or work. By getting involved and using their right skills, they lay the foundation of positive thinking.
6. An educated woman can become a partner in her family's income by working in some field or the other. Educated women also help in making good investments by saving money properly.
7. Only an educated woman can maintain the symbol of unity in the family and society and can also take care of the elders in the family in a good manner.
8. Only an educated woman can serve the country by participating in national and international competitions, hoist the flag of victory and bringing glory to her country.

That is why, keeping in mind the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme made by the government, give priority to the education of daughters, because whether someone supports your daughter in the future or not, a good education will accompany your daughter like a true friend throughout her life.
