A Battle, a silent fight
within mind and heart, during the dark night
The mind and heartburn away
The mind seems cold and wise
It speaks of reason and facts,
seeks to conquer with the light of day and night
But the heart wild and free,
beats in its way
It speaks of passion and love,
and it yearns to fulfill all desire
The battle grows with each passing day
As mind and heart are lost in confusion
The mind is full of questions and doubts
while the heart is a believer
In silence, a voice whispers
The opinion of mind and heart seems to be opposite
Reason and passion clash and collide
A war within,
and a silent battle between mind and heart
