Had been to Mahakumbh
For a dip
Nobody forced me or made
Me whip,
Even went there to see what
It could be
Why the people eager to go
What was really?
Saw the crowd moving with
Bags on head
Did not stop any place try to
Reach riverbed,
People cladded with ordinary
Dhoti kurta
Chanting sloganas of Har Har
Mahadeva,
Yearning energy for the dip in
River Ganga
Had the faith only to beliefs of
Santan Dharma,
With clear mind they dedicated
Themselves for
To be in unison with Supreme
Spiritual allore,
Surprised to see at Sangam
No priest needed
No sacrifices no offerings only
To be bathed,
Classless society full of humility
Worth to treat
All together took bath looking
At Lord's feet,
Sadhus and Saints with their
Wisdom galore
Spreading tenets of Hinduism
No furore,
Did not find any unscrupulous
Activity there
Pious seekers distributed food
Free for traveller,
Opened my eyes I realised coming
To Sangam
That Dharma is nothing but to have
Only connection,
I saw people with faith and belief in
Cold water
Taking dip and pray to God folding
Hands together,
No need priest and Vedic Mantras
For salvation
Take a dip in the Sangam as per
Scheduled constellation,
The unique culture that scripted by
Ancient sages
Show how rich was the Hinduism in
All ages,
To have to have a classless society
for all
Bathing at Kumbh and Mahakumbh
May be ideal.
