So, every one of us will have a dream. These dreams are not those which have suddenly appeared. Some situations in our childhood have made us dream about it. Everyone in our everyday life strives to make money, even the basic education that we take is to get a job and make money. A boy from a middle-class family knows what the true value is. He knows about the time when he really wanted money, but it was not there for him.
It's not that his parents are not willing to give him it, it’s only that his parents are not able to give him it because they want to spend it on something that is useful in their daily life. Those little things which make a child feel that money is everything in life, and he wants to get it by any means. Let's talk about a few situations that a child may face in everyday life.
OK! Think that you’re going to a school and your school is conducting a trip. Your first thought will be like that even if you want to go. Later on, that day, you go home and tell your parents about the trip. Rejection is not the first reply you get, they just say 'let us think about it or let's talk about it later'. These are the replies you get. The deadline to pay the trip fees is close by. You have already planned with your friends how you guys are going to enjoy it. Finally, you ask your parents for money once again. "NO, you can go next time now, we don't have that much money" is the final answer we get. You fight and argue, nothing will help. Finally, all you can do is give up and see your friends go there and listen to all their stories about how they enjoyed it.
More to this, let's just think that there is a new video game that is all new on the market. All your friends buy it and they play together. You go to your home and ask your parents to buy it for you, but you get an answer like no, we don't have the money, and we don't want to waste the money on it. All you do is go sit beside your friends and watch your friends playing, hoping that it would be nice even if you had one. These situations do not occur once or twice. This occurs continuously through childhood.
These are just two situations that I have mentioned today. Just think about all the situations that are faced by a child in their entire childhood.
So, finally, how will that child turn up? Will he only give importance to money? Maybe yes, because that is what he wanted all the time. So, what about non-materialistic things or feelings like love, kindness etc.? I think a person who has faced all these situations in his life will have a balance. Everything depends upon his childhood and how he is brought up.
If someone is brought up from a rice family, he might turn into a spoiled kid, or he may turn into a good person, but everything depends on how he is brought up. He will not have a problem with money and will not face more problems, but a person brought up in front of or seeing a middle-class family has to find a way to live. If his childhood is good, and he is brought up in a good way, he will definitely turn up into a good person. He will know the value of even 1rs.
I think it’s better to bring up a child in a way where he learns how to lead life and knows the basic values of life. These little situations in life where a person will think money is everything, they will definitely try to make more money in the future, but the thing is that they know the difficulty of life, they will know how to make good use of it, and they will definitely turn out to be responsible.
Totally, rather than waiting for the day when our parents say “It’s all fake, we are millionaires. This was just to teach you the value of money”, we just make money through our hard work and lead a life with values.
