I am a clay lamp

Vocation for Potters

My artisan twirls me

In an elegant shape

Baking me in a blaze

Coating in a grey hue

Swivelling from coarse to durable

Folk get to and pay for

Only at Diwali.

Alas! Not all show-up

And pay for me

Artificial Artefacts attract more

Curtailing natural lure

My Master fights for

Livelihood and buyers.
