Through the looking glass I stride,
A shimmering portal, open wide,
Its surface ripples, whispers soft,
A gateway to the world aloft.
I step inside, my breath held tight,
Into a realm of endless night,
Beneath the waves, a world unfurls,
Of mermaid songs and hidden pearls.
The sky above, a sea of stars,
Illuminates this world of ours,
While coral forests rise and sway,
In the moonlit, oceanic bay.
Giant kelp-like emerald trees,
Sway gently in the phantom breeze,
Their tendrils reach towards the light,
In this eternal, enchanted night.
Monsters glide with grace unseen,
Their scales a luminescent sheen,
Serpentine, with eyes aglow,
Guardians of the depths below.
A leviathan, with silent might,
Swims through the darkness, pure delight,
Its eyes, two orbs of ancient lore,
Have seen what no man can explore.
Mermaids dance with tails so bright,
Their laughter echoes in the night,
Their voices weave a melody,
That binds the heart and sets it free.
In caverns deep, where shadows play,
The sea witch brews her potions grey,
With tentacles that twist and curl,
She guards the secrets of the whirl.
A castle stands of shell and bone,
A palace where the sea queen’s throne,
Is carved from pearl, with seaweed fine,
Her crown of coral, gems entwine.
She rules with wisdom, fair and just,
In her, the ocean places trust,
Her court of creatures, strange and rare,
A council of the deep to share.
Jellyfish float like lanterns bright,
Their glow a testament to night,
They pulse and drift in silent grace,
A ballet in the ocean’s embrace.
Whales sing songs of ancient days,
Their echoes travel through the haze,
Of time and tide, a harmony,
That binds the ocean’s mystery.
Crabs with shells of sapphire hue,
Scuttle ‘neath the waters blue,
While schools of fish, a rainbow flash,
In synchronized and joyous splash.
Glimpses of the past and future,
Reflections in the water’s rapture,
Mysteries in every wave,
In this mirrored, ocean cave.
From depths unknown, the voices rise,
In harmony, beneath the skies,
Of worlds entwined, both sea and air,
In the mirror’s magic, pure and rare.
Step through the glass, if you dare,
Into a world beyond compare,
Where nature’s wonders blend with lore,
In the mirror passage, evermore.
