No one knows what is written in their destiny, only God knows what life has in store for us. Just like Golu, this ten-year-old child has no idea that today he is standing with distant neighbours, waiting for his parents to return, but their return is completely impossible.

In Maharajganj, Siwan, Patna, floodwaters suddenly began to rise rapidly at night, causing chaos everywhere. Everyone is trying to escape with their valuable belongings and children. Golu’s parents send him to the neighbours and start gathering essential items from the house. Outside, people are terrified and panicked, trying to leave as quickly as possible. The situation is disastrous, and the water is rapidly destroying the entire village. Just as Golu’s parents are about to leave with their valuable belongings, the strong waves of water sweep them away.

This is where the difficult phase of Golu’s life begins. For a few days, he stays in a relief camp with his neighbours. There, he gets three meals a day and a place to sleep, but he is alone. This is where he starts to experience loneliness. As the situation begins to improve, government aid stops coming, and the poor, who barely have enough to feed themselves, will prioritize their own children over Golu. Therefore, Golu will have to find his own way.

Golu also starts living in the city of Siwan, where he works as a labourer, digging and selling his work to make a living. For the poor, God has written only hard work in their destiny. Being a small child, he doesn’t get the right price for what he sells. At night, Golu worries about where he will spend the night because, seeing a lone child, everyone takes advantage of him. Many drunkards stop their vehicles to urinate, sometimes someone snatches his money, and he faces countless other problems.

After much effort, Golu finally got a job where the owner agreed to provide him with food, shelter, and a salary of three thousand rupees. At Hari’s Dhaba in Siwan, Golu’s job is to clean tables and wash dirty dishes. He works from morning till night and sleeps inside the Dhaba with the other workers. Now, he has the peace of mind that no one bothers him anymore. A lot of time passes with Golu doing this job, and he even learns to cook. Now, Golu is about 20 years old. During this time, he has seen many staff members come and go. If you ask, Golu is now the oldest staff member at the Dhaba.

To improve his life, Golu moves to Delhi and opens a food stall in the Shahdara market. Initially, he handles all the work himself because he knows how to do everything. However, Golu has a special touch; whatever he cooks, people love it. Soon, crowds start gathering at his stall. Seeing the increasing work, Golu hires ten staff members, but he still does the cooking himself. Who would have thought that someone who once had nothing is now the owner of a food stall?”

One day, a reporter visits Golu’s stall and orders at least four to five types of vegetables along with roti and rice. The reporter is so impressed with the taste that he can’t forget it. Once he is completely satisfied, he meets Golu. The reporter has been covering good food across the country for many years, so he offers Golu a partnership to open a restaurant. He will handle all the investment, and the partnership will be 50-50.

Golu had no idea what was in store for him, but fate favored him, and his hard work paid off. Now, Golu has restaurants all over India, and he and his partner are planning to open branches of Annapurna in every country. However, Golu still visits his old stall in Shahdara whenever he feels like it and cooks food himself for everyone. Today, he has a lot of money, but he spends most of it on those in need. He believes that too much money can also lead to a person’s downfall.
