In twilight’s somber grasp, where shadows sweep,
I stood, a wanderer lost in sorrow's keep.
The heavens wept their stars, a cold lament,
And whispered truths of love, long since misspent.
Your voice, a ghost upon the restless air,
A fleeting note of joy that turned to despair.
Each memory etched in fire, each unspoken vow,
A testament to love forsaken now.

We met as summer’s bloom adorned the earth,
When life sang songs of joy and boundless mirth.
Your gaze, a universe in endless flight,
Held mysteries that danced like stolen light.
Yet trembling fear, with chains so tightly bound,
Kept all my words within, no voice nor sound.
The heart I carried, caged in prideful fear,
Let slip the love that never would appear.

You were the moon, a traveler of the skies,
While I, a star, looked on with silent eyes.
You sought the heavens far beyond my sight,
And I, a fool, let slip love’s fleeting light.
I watched you move through hearts, a graceful wind,
While mine, unspoken, tore me from within.
Oh, love, I thought, was something fated high,
But we were worlds apart, our fates awry.

For every brush of hands, a fire was born,
A flame that died with each unbroken morn.
The silence, bitter, wove its cruel spell,
And in that void, my love was forced to dwell.
How oft I longed to cry, "Stay near, be mine!"
But fear’s cruel hand had drawn its iron line.
So you departed, chasing unknown skies,
While I, left waiting, wept in long goodbyes.

The seasons changed, yet I remained the same,
A mourner locked within a lover's shame.
I penned my heart upon the midnight air,
Each verse a plea, each line a whispered prayer.
But you, oh love, a ship on distant seas,
Were lost to me, a dream on windswept breeze.
How could I bear to see you fade from sight,
When love had burned so fierce, so pure, so bright?

The days grew pale, the nights a hollow song,
And every breath I took felt cold, felt wrong.
For love unspoken, love denied its name,
Is but a pyre that burns with silent flame.
I see you now in every stranger's face,
A fleeting glimpse, a shadow's soft embrace.
But though the world moves on with joy and cheer,
I walk in dreams where only you appear.

The path you tread, now far beyond my reach,
Has left me haunted by the lessons it would teach.
For love is not a thing of timid breath,
It is a force that laughs in spite of death.
And though you journey far from where I stand,
Your memory clings like sea upon the sand.
I wander still beneath a sky once shared,
A broken heart, a soul that once had dared.

So here I stand, beneath the darkened sky,
Where once we danced, where now I only sigh.
The stars have dimmed, their brilliance turned to stone,
And I am left to grieve, to weep alone.
For love, once born, can never die complete,
Though shattered, it lies pulsing at my feet.
Yet in my heart, you live, a ghostly flame,
A love eternal, bound in endless shame.
