SITUATIONS WHERE YOU FEEL LIKE THE PAIN YOU ARE EXPERIENCING HAS NO END

If the title itself is something that has made you stop and read this, that I am sure that you resonate with this very well and you might at times had come across situations where you found yourself coming fact to face with pain that is overwhelming and times that are tasting your limit, at such point in life the situation seems constant and that is the main cause of your pain the fact that it seems to never cease, and the feeling that this is it, all i am gonna feel from this moment on is the pain, no good thing will happen i will never make out of this situation, which i tell you is a complete package of scam our mind tries to perform on us But in that moment you are too overwhelmed by the situation that it starts to feel like, the stress caused by it is pressing you down from all directions, you picture yourself being trapped inside a room where even the walls and the ceiling seem to scream the same thing and that is “this it, its over now nothing good will happen to you “. because of which it seems utterly impossible to even hope or believe that things will get better, that your situation will ever changed.

The pain you feel in such situation is so loud that you start to function fully dependent on it even making it your guide unknowingly, the pain starts to feel constant, as if the next hour, the next day, and all the days to come after this you will have to live with the pain and sadness caused by the situations around you at the moment. Slowly the negative thoughts start to pour and your thoughts convince you that the struggle will never end you will have to deal with it everyday of your life. And in those moments even the word “hope” start to feel like a distant dream, because all you can feel is that the very ground you are standing on is sinking with every passing minute, your entire focus is on how you feel at the very moment and since negative thoughts have overtaken your mind, imagining even a happy moment for yourself, or imagining things to get better seem impossible.

What you need to understand is that you need to acknowledge your pain, why is it that you feel this way, and go forward with how to deal with it. It can be as simple as‘ yes I am in this bad and stressful situation right now but just because it happened doesn't mean it can’t be changed this is not constant it shall pass” i know that it is much easier to say the phrase  "it too shall pass” when the waters are calm when things are much easier and less hectic around you but when you are in the middle of the storm and surrounded from stress from all directions it is impossible to believe in it because by than you are surrounded by problems , constantly haunted by negative thoughts and trapped in a cycle of overthinking during the day and being sleepless at night, and the worst of it all is that what you feel right at that moment will overcome your though process and now you find your self thinking that the pain is permanent there is no end to this, you might even hear voices in your head saying things like“ this is your reality the next day, the next week and the following days to come will also look like this” we start to see it as a permanent life situation for us which is a very dangerous spiral one that will end you making really drained mentally, because it will always end in despair and with the conclusion that this situation will never change.

But the good news is that its a totally lie a complete scam, nothing in this world ever remains the same. look around you for a moment and see how even the seasons change, the same winter that is cold and frosty when all the trees seem to be barren of its leaves, will soon be fully vibrant again with the arrival of the spring, unknowingly the cold wind will soon be replaced by the warm and lovely breeze of the spring, the fact that mother nature itself stands as a living proof of how change is beautifully and wonderfully inevitable that no season how harsh and cold remains forever, no one can stop the coming of spring.

We can see that Psychologists has emphasize that in such moments, we don’t need to force ourselves into false positivity, which is a very important point to remember. Instead, mindfulness practices slowing down, breathing, gently redirecting our thoughts can help us create the space to remember that the storm will eventually pass. A research from the “harvard health notes“ has released an article that suggest good mindfulness meditation process that is shown to reduce rumination and stress allowing people to break out of the negative spirals and find clarity, which of course needs to be a consistent practice in order to see good results.

So i want you to remember that when you find yourself in such situations in the future when the weight of despair makes you believe that this very situation is your end, I advice you to give your mind a new narrative a very positive one at that, tell yourself that this is not constant, this problem will not define my entire life, it will not decide how I am gonna feel in the future this too shall pass, it is just a matter of time.

SOME TRUTH ON IMPERMANENCE

Even when the burden feels unbearable, even when our thoughts are darker than the situation itself, we must remember: this too shall pass. Just as clouds shift to reveal the sky, suffering also will vanish with time.

Psychologists often call this kind of thinking as “cognitive reframing”, which is the ability to step back for a while and remind ourselves that emotions are temporary not fixed. We can see that some research shows that certain positive coping strategies encourage this reframing and build resilience. For example, in a recent study in BMC psychology which is being released in an article. it was found that practices like gratitude can promote positive reframing of stressful situations, which in turn supports acceptance and resilience helping people manage stress better and feel less overwhelmed. “This too shall pass” is not about acting like the pain is not real or pretending like it is not even there but instead It is about acknowledging that pain is not forever, it is not a constant defining factor in your life.

It doesn’t mean problems vanish overnight. Sometimes the situation remains, but our relationship and outlook towards it changes. You will notice that once what was consuming you and had a tight grip around you is starting to loosen its grip.

Days later, when you look back and try to think about those dark days you will realize that often the weight you though would certainly crush you no longer feel that same, and that it never really had the power to do so, it was just your fears and the feeling that gave it that power. Yes, even if,  the problem or challenge is still there your feelings has taken a complete shift which is the proof of how with time things really do change if you keep the right mindset to tackle it and remain strong .

FEW STEPS YOU CAN TAKE TO ENSURE

MINDFULLNESS IN SUCH SITUATIONS

The next time you find yourself in the same painfully situations and now you are crowed by thoughts of negativity and are stressed to the point of being overwhelmed, what you can do is When stress feels overwhelming, it helps to take problems not as one giant weight but piece by piece.

One task at a time, One breath at a time, One day at a time.

There will be times when hope feels impossible, when every corner looks dark, and when the future feels like nothing but a repetition of the present pain. But the next time i hope you remember this phrase again that is “This too shall pass” And when you do, you feel the sense of being more stronger, not controlled by the negative thoughts in your minds, no longer puppets to the messages the mind tries to send you . Instead, you will feel at ease and empowered, aware that you are in control of your situation. We recognize that no matter how we feel in this moment, we cannot let it define the unfolding of the next day or week. The truth is already registered in our minds: this current situation does not define our tomorrow. It will eventually pass.

Here are Some simple steps that you can follow to take care of your self and get out the loop of negative thoughts, enabling you to always remember the power of time and change:

  1. Acknowledge your situation and the problems which is causing you pain, imagine you step into a room and it is flooded because of a leakage but you choose to act like it doesn't exist hoping that it will stop or fix by itself, which will never happen. In the same way you need to address the problem or the cause of your of pain and stress to yourself first accept its existence , which will not give it the power to steal your peace and joy.
  2. Trying to take things slow and being kind to yourself , you know what is causing you pain and stress but it doesn’t you have to revolve your whole time around it , if you feel too overwhelmed because of it than its ok to take a break, move away from it completely not pretending like it is not there, but just trying to first go and gather yourself than coming back to tackle it one step at a time, it is not called escaping but just disassociating your the stress factor for some time. Which will end up giving you the strength and wave of positivity to come back and deal with your pain, stress and problems more impactfully.
  3. Always remember that what you are feeling at present doesn’t hold the power of how you will feel the next moment , until and unless you give it that power.
  4. And most importantly remind your self of the phrase “This too shall pass” because it is not just a comforting phrase. It is a reminder that life moves forward, storms break, and even in the heaviest seasons, we are never stuck forever.
