Attending wedding ceremonies
of near and dear ones,
she was told to await
a match made in heaven.
Such black-and-white chess pathways
left this queens move undone.

Expected to walk the
periphery of the matchmaking process,
and encircle her life with
a perfect groom holding success.
Eventually, it altered her breeze,
as she didn’t want to be any claim of his.

What she prayed for
is not merely the allotment of a suitor,
but a devoted love in person
who doesn't turn out to be a traitor?

Thus, she infused monochrome dynamics,
with symmetry positioning her better.

But time, a silent witness, moved on,
bringing new questions and quiet storms of its own.

Butterflies and Doubt:

Time slipped by, and proposals
knocked on her door.
Discovery and acceptance of
a new personality unsettled her core.
Questions piled up,
like shells scattered on the shore.

Like a kaleidoscope’s vivid display,
the suitors stepped forth,
with soothing yet complex traits,
making her calculate their worth.
She wanted to choose her season,
like rain giving new life to the earth.

The "noes" and "yeses", with guesses and stress,
intruded by family’s blessings,
summoned the pressure,
as though there was nothing to confess.

She perfected the role she had to play,
and patience dressed her every day.

Amid the whirl of choices and uncertainties,
hope softly knocked, shifting her view of destiny.

Knock of Hope:

The grace she awaited
took shape in the persona of a boy.
He came with an aura,
sweeping deadheads and thorns like a toy.

Ultimately, his righteous conduct
and synergy of joy
became his sweet identity,
which secured her from any decoy.

Voluble meetings and exchanges,
along with bittersweet acknowledgments,
but it was the decline of apprehension
that espaliered their seed of commitment.

Hand in hand, they shut the door on yesteryear's refrain,
stepping forward, drawn to love’s uncharted terrain."

Farewell to Yesterday:

The knot-tying day
soon became a new existence.
Both were ready for transfiguration
with courteous stances.
Gesticulating with each other,

while submitting to past snippets,
the remembrance of old life
now witnesses the present like a puppet.

The shared emotion
partnered both as best of friends.
Like corals in the deep sea,
they dealt with uncertain tides and bends.
