Today, the heavens wept in joy,
Breaking summer's relentless ploy.
After days of scorching heat,
The rain arrived - a cool retreat.
Morning's journey, drenched and slow,
Puddles formed where roads should go.
Yet, in the chaos, a serene delight,
Sweat replaced by light breezes.
Through traffic snarled and tempers flared,
A passing driver, unaware,
Splashed through puddles without care.
Still the rain cleansed the morning air,
Evening painted hills in red,
Gulmohar blossoms overhead.
Their fiery hues, a vivid art,
Stirred memories within my heart.
Perhaps my first love took root here,
Beneath those trees, in scented air.
Today, my mind found sweet release,
As tensions washed away in peace.
Embarking on an artist's quest,
Joined a class to learn the best.
Dreams once dormant now awake,
Each raindrop fuels the steps I take.
