Life strikes on the brink of the starlit skies that crawl beneath the skin
Scrambling through the pages of existence, I caress the sorrows that find their breath within
Sights of the lover who adorned summer nights
Leave me haunted in the somber of the slumbers' light
I find myself tossing through the pages of what could have been
Yet every vision of the distant dream of tomorrow I embrace holds no trace of you to be seen
Serenity that raptures the beauty of joy, true
One that holds the scars with tenderness that lie in my sinew
I had to hide my light to suffice at your disposal for fleeting glee
The tears I shed in the syllables recorded in rage, the ones you never chose to see
Death was wished in its silent footsteps of tormented sighs
Hatred for you I tried to embrace, but the love in my eyes wouldn't let me lie
Overlooking every folly, I tried to look at the glory that existed amidst the gloom
Alas, the seed of our love never found enough warmth to leave the incessant gloom
The lover girl in me took her last breath
As the amorous song of spring called in its winter, as summer embraced its death
I no longer envision your being in the tune of life that amorously plays
Finally, I let go of the fleeting dream of us that was never meant to stay
If you see the light in my life return to my eyes, please let me be
And if I ever find the amorous bird knocking at my door
May a love like yours never find me
