Do you ever find yourself astrayed?
Lest every being you embrace leaves your heart betrayed
You wish to hide in a land where you are nowhere to be found
Where every syllable recorded becomes an unfamiliar sound.
I wish to flee into the woods
Where I don't need to rip my chest to be understood
I am wearied of the forgery that beckons its call
A sound of nonchalance, an air of coolness that needs to walk in its flair for you to get it all.
To the sands of time
Where the hammered of existence erase their line
I yearn to slow down, to finally catch a breath
To not move too fast, to be alive before I reach my deathbed.
If death finds me, let it find me kicking and alive
Where every trance makes me dance in its strife
I am no longer a lover of the shallow dance of togetherness; I yearn to hide
Off into a land where the dead poets find their muse dipped in coffee, with my words beside.
May we all find a home
The one that we can call our own.
One where our hearts never feel astrayed,
I hope we are loved in the fullness of truth in a way our hearts never feel betrayed.
