I was thrilled to be invited to participate in the new venture by Medium, the International Writers Circle, which brought together individuals from all over the world to connect, share ideas, learn from one another, and work on their craft in a collaborative environment.
Being part of the International Writers Circle was such an exhilarating experience for me.
I’ve learned about many different methods of telling a story and had several incredible conversations with other writers who have a great deal to contribute to the writing sphere.
The International Writers Circle was an insightful endeavour, and here are three significant lessons I learned from the event.
1. Your Voice Comes from Your Authentic Self
The most powerful stories come from who you are honest and true to yourself. The most significant impact of any work will ultimately come from the person who created it based on an inner authenticity.
2. Collaboration Enhances Creativity
Writing is a collaborative process; the exchange of ideas and collaboration result in better-written material. There’s so much to be gained from working together with others, and through this exchange of ideas, writers can foster a more comprehensive understanding of the craft of writing.
3. Daily Practice is How You Develop Your Writer's Voice
If you are willing to keep writing every day and pushing through the times when you feel like it’s hard, you will achieve your most complete writer's voice.
I am honoured to be invited by Medium to be a part of such an immersive and great learning experience. Here's to indulging in many more such events that prompt me to think deeper.
