"So beautiful!" Otsana mumbled, looking at the palace in front of her.
Otsana moved in, along with Adolphus.
They expected it to be ravishing with all the fairy lights.
But we were shocked seeing it so scary — with all the bats and dust around, like a bhoot bungalow.
"Thy expectations went wrong!" Adolphus commented.
Otsana was in her own world. Amidst the scariest bats and darkness,
she found a red rose in a glass dome.
Adolphus followed her direction and frowned,
looking at the perfectly bloomed and fine rose in the dome.
"How is it possible?" Adolphus questioned while caressing the dome.
Otsana looked at the rose, "I feel a connection to it. But why?"
"The palace is made up of your love,
and the red rose amid the hall is your love symbol!"
Adolphus widened his eyes, remembering Hagatha the Witch’s words.
Otsana spoke, breaking his thoughts,
"And without photosynthesis, how come this flower is still alive?"
"Because of love!" Adolphus whispered audibly to Otsana.
"The couple who planted this would have been madly in love — just like us."
She replied, hugging his shoulders.
"But who can they be?"
They both heard a voice —
"What if I say you are the ones who planted this here?
What if I say, it is living because of your love?"
Otsana and Adolphus looked back — “Hagatha!”
She looked at them and the rose.
"But how is it possible? And why is this palace looking like a haunted one?" Otsana questioned her.
"Yes, you even said to me that this palace is built by our love?
Then how did this turn into like this?" Adolphus questioned, remembering her words.
"This rose has been alive for the past 100 years," Hagatha replied.
Otsana and Adolphus gasped, hearing this.
"And so this palace. It is true — this palace is made up of your love.
And this rose is a symbol of your love." Hagatha said.
"Also, like Otsana felt, this is a haunted place.
The palace, which was built by your love, turned into a haunted and cursed palace, because of that one night," Hagatha said, looking at the red rose.
Otsana fell, getting some flashes in her mind.
"Luna, are you alright?" Adolphus knelt hurriedly beside her and cupped her face.
Otsana looked at him scaredly, "I saw something… blurry. Not clear."
"It was from your past life," Hagatha said.
Otsana and Adolphus looked at each other.
Otsana held her head — fear visible on her face.
"Save us… Please save us…"
Otsana opened her eyes with a jerk.
"Luna?"
"Burning… fire…" she stuttered.
"We were burning, Adolph!" Tears started to roll down her cheeks.
He looked at her first and then Hagatha.
"What the hell is happening? How did we die?"
"And who was the reason behind our death?" Otsana asked desperately.
"Ohh! Desperate Female Alpha!"
"Your one and only enemy in that birth, and in this birth, is your stepbrother."
Otsana and Adolphus were shocked to the core.
"He is obsessed with becoming the Alpha. He believes that he possesses the qualities to become an Alpha of the pack.
And the moment Adolphus was introduced as an Alpha, his obsession increased.
When he got to know about your love, it turned into hate.
He decided to end both — Alpha and your love." She heard their gasps.
"That means, Warg was the culprit!" Adolphus groaned angrily.
"But how does this palace or rose get cursed?" Otsana questioned.
"That also — your brother. Warg consists of some evil powers as well,
which was the main reason for him not being able to become an Alpha.
After your death, he saw the red rose — your love symbol.
He somehow got to know that because of this same flower, you two would be born again, which he couldn’t stop.
So, he cursed the palace and the rose.
The moment you both touch this dome, and the moment you both start getting flashes of your past, your doom will start."
Otsana was horrified hearing this. She held Adolphus’s hands tightly.
And then she prayed only one thing, looking into the dark, starry sky:
"Dear Stars,
I beg you to become a ray of hope,
And save us from the known darkness,
That is going to lurk us."
"Blessing your love," Hagatha whispered into the air.
