Everything was going fine, Yoshiko's pregnancy was progressing well.
It's been a week, and Kuroba was unable to find Vesper anywhere. She even searched her house, but didn't find her there either.
One fine day, she saw the witch doctor, Everly, coming into the palace and walking to Yoshiko and Nobuyuki's chamber.
She followed her discreetly and learned the truth of Yoshiko's hidden pregnancy.
Grinning wickedly, she tried opening her mouth to chant the spell, but someone cleared their throat standing behind her.
Gulping, she turned her head back and saw her husband, Edgar, standing there with a stern face.
“What are you doing here?” He asked her in a serious tone.
“I…I …saw Everly coming into the palace and followed her to check if something had happened to Yoshiko or Nobuyuki.” She stammered.
“And when you got to know about her pregnancy, you tried to chant the spell you always did. Am I right?” He asked her angrily.
Hearing it, Kuroba’s eyes widened in shock.
“What are you…what are you sayin’?” She stammered, looking at him nervously.
Meanwhile, Nobyuki and Lijah, who heard their father’s loud voice, ran outside and saw their mother standing there fidgeting nervously.
“What are you doin’ here, mother?” Nobuyuki asked her suspiciously.
“She followed Everly and got to know about Yoshiko’s pregnancy. And she also tried to chant that spell again.” Edgar revealed spitting fire through his eyes at Kuroba.
Kuroba squirmed under his gaze,” It’s not what you are thinking, son.”
Nobuyuki scowled at her,” Just stop it, mother. We got to know about your plans. Now you can’t do anything to either my wife or my children.”
“Your game is over, Kuroba. Be ready to face consequences.” Edgar said.
Edgar Albert asked his soldiers to arrest Kuroba and present her in the courtroom of the palace.
Kuroba wriggled in their hands and tried to get out, but one look from her husband stopped her struggles.
Kuroba stood in the middle of the courtroom. All the ministers and the public were whispering and glaring at her.
Kuroba stood fisting her hands tightly with the humiliation she was getting.
Soon, the king arrived and sat in his place. Nobuyuki and Lijah also arrived there and took their seats.
The hall went silent, and everyone awaited the judgment of the king.
“Today, I, the king of Shalako, the former queen, Kuroba, will be imprisoned in the dungeons. Shalako doesn’t need a queen and a witch like her roaming amidst the public after committing a murder. Soldiers…” He called out the soldiers who were waiting for his orders.
And Kuroba’s eyes widened in fear after hearing that she is going to be imprisoned in the dungeons.
People believe the Dungeons of the Shalako kingdom are the most feared place to be imprisoned in than the normal prison cells.
The king, along with his son, smirked evilly while the soldiers took away Kuroba, who was shouting and wailing for his mercy.
They pushed her into the dungeons and locked the door.
Kuroba peered at the dark walls of the dungeon with eyes full of fear and gulped.
A few weeks later, Edgar and Lijah found Nobuyuki pacing around the corridors with worry etched on his face.
They both approached him and asked What’s the matter?
He turned to them and replied,” It’s just that I am worried about the delivery of Yoshiko.”
Edgar gave him an understanding smile and replied,” Don’t worry, son. Yoshiko is a strong girl. She will be fine.”
“I know she is a stronger person than I, Father. Yet I can’t stop worrying about her and the twins. What if complications arise either with the twins or Yoshiko at the time of delivery? I can’t bear to lose any of them, Father.” Nobuyuki said worriedly.
Lijah kept a comforting hand on his little brother’s shoulder and said,” Everything will be alright. Trust your baby girls to take care of their mother.”
While the Shalako kingdom is on the west side of the continent, on the east side is a kingdom named Hessayampa, with the king named Kenji Salvatore and his wife Ria.
Hessayampa is also a kingdom, just like Shalako, with a whole host of supernatural beings.
Ria, the queen, is pregnant with twin boys, just like Yoshiko is pregnant with twin girls.
Who knows who is going to be whose soulmate?
The two kingdoms are waiting eagerly for the birth of their heirs.
The days are moving, and Yoshiko and Ria are glowing with pregnancy bumps.
Whilst the soon-to-be dads are stressing themselves, worried about the day of delivery.
On a crescent moon day before the full moon day, Ria, the queen of Hessayampa, went into labour in the early nighttime.
The witch doctor, Zorah, helped the queen in delivering her babies, while the king stood outside the door and paced around the corridors.
The crescent moon started to shine brightly, and the loud wails of the twins echoed through the kingdom.
The king and queen cooed their twin boys wholeheartedly with a smile on their faces.
They named them” Shun Salvatore and Shigeru Salvatore.”
Shun was 5 minutes younger than Shigeru.
