Many make money with their hard work, smart work, and God knows what. But the thing is, in the process of people grinding for currency, which is just a promise made by the governor, many are losing their own selves. It might be the only way for one to bring food to the table, sacrificing and creating an illusionary hope that society pushes you into. And then, there is our country's financial status, which makes you run more towards money so that at the end of your time, you find there's nothing to smile about. But what if you can make your hobby a profession, doing the things that you love to do while making money out of it? This is my own thought; read it at your own risk, because it may not work for everyone.
I don't know what your hobby is but I do know that you love doing it. But, the challenge in changing your hobby to your profession comes in making your hobby that is much needed by others.
Let's say you have a hobby of cleaning gardens. In your area, people love the way your garden looks and want their own garden to be fabulous too. Then they ask you to help them out, and you provide your hobby as a service and get some money for it. Now your hobby has a chance to change into your profession with a little bit of hard work.
You might be a bit confused, so here are some questions that may help you have clarity.
Why do you love doing it?
How is it special from what others do? (many have common hobbies)
Once you have answered this you will get clarity on what your hobby truly is. Then it is time to find out if there is any value to the hobby you love. I know that the last sentence can be overwhelming for you, so here are some questions for you to answer and know the value of your hobby.
And so, it all comes down to selecting the perfect niche that is highly demandable and you are best it doing it.
Do you think that the current skill level that you have is enough? I can't say, as you are to judge on your own. It's better for you to scale it from 1-10 and analyze it yourself. If you are confident enough, you are already powered up, but that's not the case for everyone.
You must do one of the most important investments in your life, i.e., your time.
Once you have analyzed your skill level, the next step is to power it up. To do it here are some tips from my side,
For example, your gardening skill may be of help to your house, but when you provide it as a service for others it will not give the same results. You need to know the right manure, pesticide and the proper care the plants of other gardens have. By reading books or attending workshops gives you ideas to power up your gardening skills. You may learn to use new tools and more ways to care for the garden that you have never experienced.
