Coronavirus or covid 19 is a virus, originating from China. It is an infectious disease that can easily spread if we are not careful.

There have been different variants of coronavirus to date, which are growing dangerous with each day. This disease has affected the entire world in a very negative way. That being said, I would like to salute the health care workers around the world, who are diligently working for our safety. It is high time that we reduce their stress and take enough care of ourselves.

It is very crucial to maintain our immune system in the present scenario. The spread of novel Coronavirus is increasing day by day. And the people who take care of their immune system have a very minor effect of being a victim of coronavirus.

Along with maintaining hygiene, it is also important to maintain the immune system to fight against the virus.

I am going to mention some very important and effective tips that can save you from this dangerous virus.

Wash your hands regularly

This is one of the best and cheapest ways to be safe. We unknowingly come in contact with the covid affected area. So we should wash our hands regularly and keep ourselves safe and clean. You can hear about it frequently in the news, in newspapers and even on your mobile phones. When soap or hand wash is not available, the next best way is sanitisers. There are many different types of sanitisers available in the market. So you should always carry a sanitiser with you whenever you have to go out.

Wear a mask in public places

This is the first and most important thing you need to do, before getting out of your house. There are many different types of masks. The WHO has clearly said which mask should be worn by whom. For example, FFP2 or N95 masks should be worn by medical staff, surgical masks should be worn by anyone who is infected and any kind of fabric masks are fit for younger people. Since the spread of new variants of coronavirus has been increasing, it is suggested to wear a double mask. This means, wear a surgical mask on top of a cloth mask. Also, it is suggested to wash your mask frequently.

Keep your house clean

Make it a habit to clean your house with a disinfectant once in a while. Specifically, the areas which you think would be easily affected. The switchboards, door, doorknobs, gate etc come under these areas. So make sure you clean these areas frequently with disinfectants. If the disinfectants are not available, you can even use detergents or soap and water.

Boost your immune system.

Following are the few tips to improve your immune system

  1. Get enough sleep
  2. Eat more vitamin and nutrient-rich food
  3. Quit smoking.
  4. Quit drinking.
  5. Meditate.
  6. Exercise for at least 30 minutes.

Maintain at least 1-metre distance

It is seen that people cannot refrain from going out. They have a family to feed. So they have to go out and work. It is understood. But when you go out, maintain at least a 1-metre distance from others. That way, you can be a little safe from getting infected. You will never know who is infected and who is not in the crowd. So you should take precautions for yourself and stay away from people while coughing or sneezing.

Avoid touching your mouth, eyes or nose

Do not ever touch your eyes, mouth or nose with your bare hands when you are out or when you think that you have been in an infected place. The virus directly enters your body through your eyes, nose and mouth. Be careful to wash your hands before touching anything.

Do not leave your house if you feel sick

The virus does not start affecting immediately after it enters your body. It will take some time for it to harm you. So if you feel sick, do not leave your house. Because you never know how many people might get infected because of you. So always be careful when you leave your house, or I would suggest do not leave your house unless it's completely necessary.

Vaccination

It is advised to get vaccinated as soon as you can. The vaccines are proven to be safe and effective. The vaccines are so effective that you can resume all the activities that you have been doing earlier without wearing masks or maintaining any distance. You can go back to normal by just getting vaccinated. This is our last hope. So get vaccinated as soon as possible. Everyone is aged 12 or above can get vaccinated now, free of cost. So the least you could do is get vaccinated.

Many new variants are in discussion lately. So being safe by getting vaccinated, using masks and washing up frequently can save your life to the extent you can't even imagine.

Lastly, get vaccinated, stay home, stay safe.
