Irony laughs when the orator advocating freedom of thought secretly does so for the applause. Our minds are shackled by the majority's choices and their opinions.

The audience lives under the delusion of being impacted by the influencers. Meanwhile, these influencers aim to make content that is accepted by the majority of viewers. From social media to social settings, human beings are conditioned to feel inadequate. The mechanism is made such that we need constant reassurance that we meet the standards of coolness, beauty, smartness, or modernity.

It's funny how we need validation from people we don't know. We have made a dark joke out of our lives when we think of transforming ourselves to fit in the unrealistic fantasies of our minds. We tend to tailor our preferences, buying habits, and lifestyles to what an Instagram model or a YouTube star is doing. How fair are we to ourselves?

Craving validation has led to an ultimate madness of body dysmorphia, keeping aside the uniqueness we are born with Returning ck to the roots, contemporary historical events made us believe our skin tones, body shapes, features, language, and talents aren't good enough. For centuries, we have been made to think that what we perceive of ourselves isn't enough.

As a result, we are made to live a filtered lie on social media. The mechanism works by changing our raw selves for the approval of strangers. This has led to us downgrading the ones who dare to unshackle themselves from this loop of nothingness.

Iconoclasm is on the verge of extinction as the culture of cults rises. The fear of walking on lone paths isn't too huge an impact, it's the greed of validation. We fear to challenge cherished institutions of thought.

Upon its deathbed, diversity tearfully views the autocracy of opinions. We miss out on a variety of opinions, thriving cultures, and differences that should have been cherished. As a society, we have failed to give the space to disagree with people.

Debates are the essence of democracy. Ironically enough, we, the flag bearers of civilization, free thought and expression, have ruined the spirit of democracy. We rejoice in the canceling of opinions, ways of life, and thoughts that don't adhere to ours.

The realization that we have been failing ourselves in the course hasn't hit us by now. I'm afraid, that by the time it does, we will become less of humans with imperfections and more of dopamine zombies who hide their flaws.

We don't understand, that the world around us is being deprived of the beauty of the ordinary in us, which is adorned with flaws. Trends that we see around us, could be more humanized if we were complete in ourselves.

It's high time we ask ourselves, are our lives, preferences, and opinions so immaterial that outside validation takes precedence? How difficult is it to embrace our raw unfiltered selves before the world?

On an ending note, we must embrace our raw, unfiltered selves and let the world adjust.
