Often I ponder, is love today true?
Or just a game, emotions askew?
Pure bonds of affection, where they have gone?
Now love's a duty, motives overdrawn.
Deceit casts shadows, heart grows cold,
Families, and friends, once close, are now old.
In this fast-paced life, bonds fade away,
Love's sweet poison leads us astray.
Elder's wisdom, now unheard,
Guidance on love, deferred.
Love needs truth, respect, and care,
But in love's bonds, these are rare.
Patience, tolerance, and truth, all fade,
In human hearts, a harsh trade.
Partners argue, without thought,
Emotions ignored, faces hot.
Love's feelings, once strong and bright,
Now break apart, without a fight.
Lucky are those with love so true,
For most, it's a game, emotions askew.
Why has this become our fate?
Did we spread deceit, in love's estate?
