Our heroes are going to start fresh in life and work their way into society. These three people come from different backgrounds and are best friends. They stay on Brigade Road. Their names are Amit Deshpande, who works as a team leader in an interior design office; Venkat Naid, who is studying to become a chef; and Bhavith Patel, who runs his own hardware shop. Bhavith and Venkat stay together while Amit stays with his parents.

Amit - Hey! From tomorrow, we are all going to be busy, man! I am damn serious, so listen we will meet in Naidu's apartment, loads to tell.

They meet over drinks in Naidu's apartment.

Amit - Guys! I have some big news! I am going to start a new job as team leader in my office.

Venkat - That's great news, Amit! I, too, have some news. I am going to learn how to become a chef. I have saved enough money for my college. It is a 1- year course and then I will get a placement in a 5-star hotel.

Bhavith - And Guys! I have some good news as well. I proposed to Nithya... and... she said yes! We are going to get married. We are going to have a registered marriage tomorrow and then have a grand reception for friends and family.

The next day Bhavith ties the knot with Nithya. Bhavith's mom is there and even Venkat, Amit, and Nitya's parents are there.

Later that night: After Bhavith and Nithya were married, everyone partied the whole night. Later, in the morning, at around 10 o’clock…

Amit thinks while smoking weed and then says:

Amit - Where will Venkat go? He will be left alone, right Bhavith?

Bhavith - Yaa, of course! So, what to do now? How can you afford the rent, Macha?

Bhavith says to Venkat

Amit and Bhavith start laughing. Venkat gets mad and goes to his room in anger, shutting the door with a bang.

Amit bakes some pot brownies and along with wine, takes them to Venkat's door and knocks.

Amit - Aye, Macha! Sorry, duh! I was just thinking that you are going to learn to become a chef. You are following your dream. We all are proud of you. And I even brought some surprise with me to celebrate.

Bhavith - Ya, brother! Sorry, come out naa.

Bhavith and Amit continue apologizing till the door opens slightly. Both of them enter the room with the pot brownies and wine.

Amit - Here you go, toad and now finish these.

Bhavith - I have an idea about rent that might work for Venkat.

Amit - Then say it, bro! We could have finished this in the living room only.

Bhavith - I got this idea just now, bro! Let me say it first.

Amit - Ok, cool! Please, you have the floor.

Bhavith - Thank you! Anyways... yeah, Amit! You anyway wanted to move out of your parents' house, right? Then this is the right move for you, isn't it?

Amit starts laughing loudly.

Amit - So, yeah! Oh, you are serious, Bhavith?

Venkat - Yeah, didn't you like the idea? And, by the way, guys, I can save loads of money.

Amit - It's a good idea, not bad. But what about my privacy? And how can I work if I have WFH?

Bhavith - I know he is not a perfect roommate, but give it a try for two days, and then let's see what happens, Ok?

Day 1:

Amit is sleeping, but Venkat’s room is beside him, so his snores startle him, and he wakes up because of Venkat.

Day 2:

Amit was tired and sat on the sofa when Venkat leans, then he farts while he is pouring a glass of wine for Amit.

Venkat speaks:

Venkat - How was your day at the office?

Amit - Terrible, man! Don't ask. How come you are so happy? Tell me, how was your day like.

Venkat - Brother, that’s what I was thinking how to say this to you now don't have to worry to stay with me. My sister is moving from Hyderabad. So, she is crashing with me

Inner voice of Amit - Thank God, I am saved. I will stay with my parents.

Amit - So, when is your sister arriving?

Venkat - She has already arrived, bro. She is changing for dinner.

A beautiful girl walks in from the room, wearing a loose t-shirt and tiny shorts. Amit falls for her beauty.

She comes down and shakes Amit's sweaty hands and then she gives him a hand towel to wipe his hands.

Shivani - Hi! I am Shivani, glad to meet you. I’ve heard a lot of things about you.

Amit - Oh, really! Like, what have you heard? I am afraid to ask.

And Amit stares at Venkat.

Shivani - Don't worry; everything is cool.

Amit - Ok, cool! Then I will take a leave.

He comes out of the main door and closes it on his way out.

Amit thanks God and says:

Amit - I didn't know this pig had a beautiful sister. Wow! I have fallen for her (Inner voice)

That night, Amit couldn’t stop thinking about Shivani. Her confidence, her smile, and the way she carried herself had left him mesmerized. Lying in bed, he debated whether it was a good idea to pursue his best friend’s sister.

The next morning, Amit, Bhavith, and Venkat met at their usual breakfast joint on Brigade Road.

Venkat - "So, Amit! What’s up? You left so suddenly last night. Were you in shock or something?"

Amit - "Nah, man! Just had to rush home. But hey, how long is Shivani planning to stay?"

Venkat - "Oh, she’s moving here permanently. She got a job at an interior design firm as marketing head nearby."

Amit - Coughs "Permanently?! That’s great... I mean, good for her."

Bhavith smirks, sensing Amit’s interest.

Bhavith - "Amit, don’t tell me you’ve already started liking her?"

Amit - "What? No way! She’s my best friend’s sister. That’s against bro code, right?"

Venkat narrows his eyes. "Damn right, it is. Don’t even think about it, Amit!"

Amit raises his hands defensively. "Relax, I was just asking, bro!"

Later that evening, Amit was in his room, scrolling through Instagram, when a message popped up.

Shivani - Hey! It was nice meeting you last night. Wanna grab coffee sometime?

Amit sat up straight, staring at his screen. Was she interested too? He quickly typed back.

Amit - Yeah, sure. When?

Shivani - Tomorrow evening? There’s a new cafe near MG Road I want to check out.

Amit - Sounds good. See you at 6.

The next evening, Amit reached the cafe early. He was nervous, and he never got nervous around women. When Shivani arrived, she looked effortlessly beautiful in a casual dress. They chatted about everything – life, career, future goals, and even Venkat’s weird habits.

Shivani - "So, Amit, tell me, what’s your plan? Where do you see yourself in five years?"

Amit - "Hopefully leading a bigger team in design and… maybe having someone special in my life."

Shivani - "Interesting. And what kind of ‘someone special’ are you looking for?"

Amit smirked. "Someone confident, ambitious, and who can handle my sarcasm."

Shivani laughed. "Well, you’ve got high standards."

After coffee, Amit walked Shivani back to her place. As they reached the apartment door, they saw Venkat standing there, arms crossed, looking suspicious.

Venkat - "What’s going on here?"

Amit - "Relax, dude! We just had coffee."

Venkat - "Amit, I swear, if you even think about dating my sister—"

Shivani interrupted. "Venkat, I can make my own choices. If I like someone, it’s my decision."

Venkat sighed, clearly not happy, but he knew better than to argue with his sister. "Fine, but Amit, if you mess up, you’ll have me to deal with."

Amit gulped. "Duly noted, bro."

As Shivani went inside, Amit turned to leave but couldn’t hide his smile. This was going to be interesting.
