In the silence, I hear my heart

A rhythm that echoes, through the space
A reminder of the chaos, that I've tried to replace

The world outside, a maelstrom of sound
A cacophony of voices, that drown out my own
I long to find solace, in a world that's unkind
But like a ship without an anchor, I'm lost, left behind

My fears, whisper secrets, in the dead of night
They tell me of the dangers, that lurk in every light
They warn me of the unknown, of the things that I've not seen
And I, a fragile soul, tremble with fear, unseen

But still, I search for answers, for a way to break free
From the shackles of my doubts, from the weight of my anxiety
I yearn to find my courage, to stand tall and strong
To face the world with confidence, and right the wrongs

In the shadows of my mind, a battle rages on
Between the light and darkness, where my heart is torn
I'm torn between the desire, to hide and be alone
And the need to face my fears, to find my way back home

Perhaps someday, I'll find my way.
Out of the darkness, into a brighter day
Where my heart will be free, from the chains that bind
And I'll dance in the sunlight, with a heart that's aligned

Until then, I'll hold on, to the hope in my heart
A glimmer of light, that will guide me through the dark
