Stanza 1 and 2: Falling in Love

I saw her once, a fleeting glance,
And suddenly my world would dance.
A simple look, her eyes so bright,
And I was lost in pure delight.
Her laughter echoed in the air,
A melody beyond compare.
Each word she spoke, a gentle song,
That drew me in, where I belong.

Stanza 3 and 4: Being in Love

In every moment, she was there,
A presence is soft, beyond compare.
Her smile, a warmth that lit my days,
A gentle light in endless ways.
I held her close within my dreams,
A love so deep, or so it seems.
Each touch, each glance, a thread we spun,
I felt like she was truly the one.

Stanza 5 and 6: Courage to Confess

But fear, wrapped around my soul,
Unsure if I could make her whole.
My heart beat fast, my hands would shake,
Would she accept or will it break?
I gathered strength, a trembling start,
With hope and fear within my heart.
I spoke the words I’d held so tight,
To free my love into the light.

Stanza 7: Rejection

But then she paused, her eyes so kind,
A different love was in her mind.
She spoke the truth, no room for lies,
And softly whispered her goodbyes.

Stanza 8: Moving On

Though broken, I began to heal,
In time, the pain grew less to feel.
I let her go, her smile still dear,
But walked away with nothing near.

Stanza 9 and 10: Life Being Both Sad and Happy

Now life is strange, a blend of two,
A sky of gray, a hint of blue.
For even in the saddest days,
There’s a joy that finds its quiet ways.
The heart can mourn and still be glad,
To hold both happy and sad.
For love is both a joy and pain,
But even loss brings life again.
