Where has all the decorum gone?
Leaving the world to sigh and moan...
With fading humanity, hearts now groan,
As loneliness claims the Queen’s throne.

On what grounds does the man call himself civil?
When his conduct breeds endless evil...
To earn more wealth is the ultimate goal,
Yet discontent shadows every soul.

No one flows in joy or grace,
Just battles fought in every place.
Patience and affection are fading fast,
While jealousy and hate hold us steadfast.

Solitude grows from swollen pride,
Gratitude is lost where selfishness hides.
Man and society forget compassion,
Replacing kindness with cold aggression.

Greed has become life’s truest creed,
While rare are those who truly heed.
Generosity now is an "investment" named,
And human trafficking leaves us all shamed.

Faith in God has taken flight,
Indecency rules in broad daylight.
Rights and duties no longer blend,
Indecorum strips beauty without end.

"Simple living, high thinking" was once our aim,
Now it’s "high living, narrow mind" what a shame.
People were meant to be loved, things to be used
Today, even that truth is misused.

Mothers once symbols of pure affection
Now seem bound in transactional connection.
Once known for warmth and loving grace,
Now vanity wears a woman’s face.

Children forget the hands that cared,
While old age homes leave parents impaired.
Correctitude helps life swiftly race,
But rudeness leaves a lasting trace.

Man once sought meaning in the stars,
Now chases fame behind glass bars.
The soul that sang in silent prayer,
Now scrolls through life without a care.

Compassion now is rare to find,
Replaced by ego, sharp and blind.
Eyes meet screens more than they meet,
And hearts grow cold in crowded streets.

Once hands would toil with honest grace,
Now masks of charm replace the face.
Pride has dressed in polished lies,
While truth, in tatters, softly cries.

He builds tall towers, touches skies,
But buries dreams where virtue dies.
He speaks of peace with a poisoned tongue,
While wars of greed are daily sung.

The mirror shows a sharper jaw,
But hides the cracks in man’s law.
He’s lost the art of being still
Now bends to every fleeting will.

We must cast off pride and vain ambition,
And build with humanity a noble vision.
Good decorum can heal all creeds,
And decency sow our finest deeds.

With sympathy guiding honesty’s art,
One may possess a crystal-clear heart.
Never let morals from your soul escape
Character thrives in decency’s shape.

Rivers don’t boast, and trees don't scheme,
Yet they create life in every stream.
Why can’t we, too, just learn to give
And in such giving, truly live?

Let kindness rise like morning light,
Breaking chains of endless night.
A single act, a selfless flame,
Can cleanse the world of guilt and shame.

Be the voice that mends the air,
The hand that heals, the soul that cares.
For when we choose the higher way,
Decorum will return one day.
