BOOKS !!!! Is this only a five-letter word? Does this mean anything to me? Am I obsessed in the world of books? Undoubtedly I am. Books make my life whole, endless and priceless. It is not that we have only one life to live, we can live as many more lives and as many kinds of lives as we wish if we read. A world of books is a paradise to live in.

A book is a dream that you hold in your hands. A dream so beautiful, that you don’t want to wake up

“A room without books is like a body without a soul and a room without windows"                                                                                                                                                                 - Marcus Tullius Cicero

So true. Books are just magical. The most loyal and quietest friends who make us dream with our eyes open, the only place where we live in dreamland with the dreams of our own. It’s the greatest passion and this passion never does any harm. There were perhaps no days of my childhood spent without books. The worth of the book is measured by what we can carry from it. The worth of the book is measured by what we can carry from it.

They say,

“Good friends, good books, and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life”

I say what can be more ideal than a novel in hand, a cup of cappuccino and winters. Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. Reading bridges between miseries to hope. Whenever we read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to light up our world. The worth of the book is measured by what we can carry from it.

"The man who doesn’t read has no advantage over the man who can't read. He who loves reading has everything in his life. The love of books is the best of all. When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library”

“Books are the ultimate Dumpees: put them down and they’ll wait for you forever; pay attention to them and they always love you back”
                               -  John Green, An Abundance of Katherines

Reading not only has tremendous power when it comes to fueling the development of all aspects of language ability, its importance to the entirety of human life in this day and age really can’t be overstated. It's not all about studying and getting good marks. It is a means to discover new things which we don't know about widening the horizons of knowledge. It helps to differentiate between right and wrong or good and evil. A person becomes perfect with reading as he is not only gaining something from it but also contributing to the growth of a nation.

There’s something to crack open the book and replenish the broken soul. Books are a major stress buster and it stimulates the mind in the best possible way. No matter how much stress we undergo, it all slips away when we lose ourselves in a great story. It will let tensions drain away. It fills your head with bits of information and we have greater exposure to words and they make way to better articulation and being well-spoken. Every new memory we create through a book, forges a new electrical and chemical synapse. The analytical skills come in handy and focus and concentration get centralized. The rest of the world just falls away. It brings about immense inner peace and tranquility. It helps to reduce blood pressure and calms me down. It has groomed me to be a better person in terms of the negative qualities.

I beeped into a book

Into a different world
Nobody can find me
My world stood behind me
I opened the book,
Dealt with tears and laughter
I finished the book and came out
my world still the same
but I have a new world within...
