Somewhere a rock twinkled,

Dug deep in the solid earth- A

process transformed.

There, a reptile slithered

Shedding a layer it no longer needed-

Painful and itchy. Though archaic,

reborn With new scales.

The muddy earth increased its friction,

Droplets soaking swiftly, Red staining

brown.

Darkness spread like ink.

The serpent found its prey.

Choking.

Its life slipping away, Tiny,

foggy fingers inviting it To a

realm of forgetfulness.

The serpent coiled tighter,

The animals neck fell, its mumbles smothered.

Somewhere,

A rock fell, yet it twinkled.

The serpent slithered,

Its tongue flickering,

Its path mirroring

This scene of death and weathering.

A dew drop mirrored the diamond,

Its shine cast a glimmer on the scene-

The blood drops,

A final reflection Of a life

cycle performed.

The Naag crept back into its rock.
