The controversy around Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide refuses to end even though months have passed since India woke up to the shocking news of the demise of the young actor. The case similarly has grabbed the nation’s attention over the past few weeks.

Sushant’s 74-year-old father KK Singh, who lives in Patna, filed a complaint with the Patna police, on July 25, against Reha Chakraborty, her parents (mother Sandhya Chakraborty and father Indrajit Chakraborty), brother Showmik and a few other persons, accusing them of cheating and abetting his son’s suicide.

On August 10, 2020, Hindustan Times reported that the CBI had re-booked this FIR as a fresh case on and named as accused the same persons. The Mumbai Police has been carrying out a separate investigation in Sushant’s death and has questioned a number of prominent film producers and directors till now. Reha Chakraborty (28), accused by Sushant's father of abetting his son’s suicide, appeared before the ED (Enforcement Directorate) at the agency’s office in Ballard Estate on 7th August 2020, after initially refusing to do so, citing her appeal pending before the Supreme Court. Rhea was accompanied by her brother Showmik. The ED has also solicited for questioning Shruti Modi, who is Chakraborty’s business manager, and Rajput’s friend and roommate Siddharth Pithani in connection with the money laundering inquiry arising from a complaint filed by his father with the Bihar Police in connection with his death, officials said. On Monday, it came to light that Rhea Chakraborty appealed against the media trial that was being done in Sushant’s case.

Reacting to all of this, Swara Bhasker conveyed her thoughts via tweet. Swara utilized her social media to express how she felt about Reha, and how she is serving as a scapegoat to several unsafe media trials. Swara urged people to stop doing so and let the law conclude the late actor’s case. She further hoped that our judiciary would take into consideration what is happening in the media in Rhea and Sushant’s case.

Swara's tweet goes over,
“Rhea is being subjected to a bizarre & dangerous media trial fuel led by hugely problematic impulses of mob justice. I hope the Hon’ble #SupremeCourt will pay heed & take fake news spinners & conspiracy theorists like Repooplic, Poopindia & others to task. Let the law decide.”

Hours after Swara’s tweet criticizing media, the twitter users trolled her and many were ruthless in their criticism. She handled a lot of heat after expressing her opinion on social media. However, the media and several netizens can't actually unravel the truth behind Sushant's death. And the case seems to be getting unpleasant gradually, with its unexpected turns.
