The Indian batsman to score a century in all the three formats of Cricket-Twenty20, One Day International (ODI) and Test Match, Suresh Raina on Saturday (15 August) brought to social media and informed about his decision to retire from international cricket, his retirement comes on the same day as former India captain MS Dhoni. Raina was one of Dhoni’s believed troopers during his command as India’s captain. “It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781. With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind!” Raina wrote on his Instagram page.

Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, an occasional off-spin bowler, is considered one of the best fielders in the world. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in 2005 against Sri Lanka. Raina has contributed significantly towards Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Chennai Super Kings making the Super Kings win the IPL title twice in 2010 and 2011. A left-handed attacking batsman, Suresh Raina is the first player to score 3000 runs in the IPL. He is the third batsman in the world to hit a T20 century.
