Games and sports make us healthy and fit for work. Games and sports are very necessary for our life. Games and sports make us fit, active, fresh, and social. They teach us a lesson of cooperation duty and discipline. They teach us a lesson of brotherhood and national unity. Games and sports have much value in the development of the body are as important as that of a mind. A healthy mind dwells in a healthy body. Games keep the body fit and active.

Types of Games:

There are two types of games, Indoor Games and Outdoor Games.

  • Indoor Games: 
    Indoor games mean to play in the rooms and halls example cards, carrom, ludo, chess, etc. are the most common games. Any indoor games help us to practice essential cognitive skills and enhance the parts of the brain responsible for complex thought and memory formation. Creative indoor games help the brain retain and build cognitive associations well in old age.

  • Outdoor Games:
    Outdoor games mean playing in the open place and playgrounds, for example, hockey, Cricket, tennis, Kho-Kho, etc. This game is most important for students' life. Outdoor games like Football, Basketball, Running, Swimming builds the stamina of a person. As all these games require a lot of running, the Stamina of a man automatically increases very high.

Need for Games:

Games and Sports are very necessary for life. It provides the best exercise to the body. The shade body becomes active. Physical exercise is very important for digestion. In this way games and sports not only freshen the mind but improve digestion, fill in the lung with pure air. Games and sports make the students active and fresh. It also teaches students the value of discipline.

Means of Recreation:

Games and sports are important means of recreation. After their studies during the day students require some best and recreation in the evening. Games and sports are most studies for students, they refresh them and it enables them to regain their lost energy.

Good for Health:

Games and sports are good for health. It refreshes the mind. It keeps us free from diseases. It makes us more active. Thus games and sports have good value in our life and better health. Games play a major role in keeping a person fit and fine. Games increase the blood flow in the entire body. Sports Help in keeping your body fat percentage low.

Develop leadership quality:

Games and Sports develop leadership Quality. Every student should take part in games and sports.

Other Advantages:

Sports evoke a sense of fair play in one’s life. A person becomes a positive thinker. Children learn from the sport by honouring big officials, getting rid of bad addictions like alcohol


Sport gives us good exercise which makes us physically strong and increases our stamina and strength. Regular sports activities make us active & lead to good health. Games can be dangerous. Because any injury can occur while playing these sport. Therefore a person should wear a proper safety kit before playing games.
